Thanks E.V. for posting this, you are ‘ever vigilant’ in respect to the pro-life cause. I did not know Palin was pro-choice, unfortunately it seems that she is yet another one of those pro-choice politicians who say abortion is not for them, but they would not stop someone else from making that ‘choice’ to murder their own unborn. She says it should be up to the states to outlaw ‘murder’. States rights are more important than the right to life?
Keyes goes too far here, as well as ignoring certain basic truths, such as regrettably the pro life cause was basically beaten in 1973 with Roe V. Wade, which grants an almost absolute legal right to an abortion. Unfortunately, that’s now the law of the land, so I don’t know what further defeat Keyes is worried about. The only way to reverse this problem is to overturn Roe V. Wade and get back to the point where it was a state’s rights issue, then work from there.
Keyes is so driven by ideological perfection, that he feels that if someone isn’t perfect on the pro-life side that they’re pro-abortion.
Oh, Palin is not “pro choice”. She’s pro-life. She just feels that the best way to deal with abortion is at the state level.
So, shall we just trash the Constitution and say the States have no rights and that total control is Washington? I do not like taking any life, but I realize that it is the right of each State to decide. And there is a difference between murder and execution. I know a few that I would be willing to pull the trigger on their ass and send them to hell. And as a vet in a bloody war I know how.
Ultimately Abortion should be prohibited through a right to life Amendment. However, that is not going to happen overnight. It is completely unproductive and stupid to attack as “pro choice” a politician who wants to see Roe v. Wade overturned so that we can start outlawing abortion across the states. Alan Keyes - who I have contributed to in the past - would be far better spent attacking those who do not agree with him 95% on the life issue. Shooting all of ones allies will not win any wars.
Psssst. (In whispering tones) That's Sarah's way of saying that Roe v. Wade is bad law.
C'mon use your brains, people.
