I was not at all surprised to hear that Rudy Giuliani has lately expressed views that welcome the rising prominence of Sarah Palin in the GOP. Giuliani is the archetype of the politicians who wear the Republican label but staunchly support the pro-abortion agenda. Of course, he imitates the pro-abortion Democrats by using the "pro-choice" label to dress his position in deceptively American garb. The use of that term is one of the most clever rhetorical ploys in the history of American politics. If the slaveholders had thought of it, people like me might still be doing stoop labor for no wages. After all, what could be more American than choice? Isn't that what freedom is all about?

Actually, no; not in the sense of the political liberty the American people have up to now enjoyed. Our liberty is based on the idea of unalienable rights articulated to justify our nation's assertion of independence from Great Britain. "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Third party troglodytes, especially those of the AIP, have no brains. They just grind the vilification organ hoping someone tosses a coin or two in the hat.

Utterly reprehensible how some who purport to be conservatives will act without the slightest remorse.

You know the arguments for overturning R v W as well as those for a Const. Amendment. People pushing for these two things to occur would be more than stupid waste breath fighting each other. Go after the abortionist RINOs and dems instead.

They’re not the main problem. The first problem is with those who claim to be pro-life but who pay no attention to the actual core principles which are violated by the commission of abortion, or have any intention of doing anything to stop the daily slaughter of thousands of American children.

The people who “claim” to be pro-life, the vast majority anyway, ARE pro-life. That’s rather condescending to think otherwise.

In one sense, that liberals like yourself don’t have any problem supporting her could speak poorly for Mrs. Palin.

Of course, on the other hand, to be fair to her, she has no control over that.

Keyes is expert at making good the enemy of perfect. He lost me when he turned on Steve Forbes in 2000.

What other unalienable rights do you think states can alienate besides the right to live?

And how do you reconcile your claim that Mrs. Palin's "it's up to the states" position is "Constitutional" with the clear words of the Fourteenth Amendment?

"No State shall...deprive any person of life...without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

EV, I don't care about malevolent screeds, except where they jump the shark, which is on this one.

Sarah Palin is a Christian, and has proven her bonafides on sanctity of life. However, you seem to disagree that the states have the right to do something which the Fedrool gum't has usurped. She has made no statement in support of abortion. She HAS birthed five children.

I am already reconciled, as is Sarah, according to her confession of faith. God is still in control, so you can relax. You aren't a decent substitute. I pray for her safety, and for our country. I believe she is an instrument of God. You seem to think Keyes is the chosen one.

I don't agree. I don't have to justify her to you. You have one vote, just like us, and only one voice. Try to use them wisely!

Go spend some time playing in Keyes sandbox. Scratch and shiite seems to be the main rules there... You'll fit right in!
