I believe there are core issues that can be addressed in the most leftist of states, that will win the support of people across the spectrum. Ronald Reagan did it. I think we sell these states short. I think we sell ourselves short if we don’t put up quality people who represent Conservatism. If we wish to sell our brand, we need to put it out there in public at the top levels. If we don’t, we’ll never win converts, and turn these states around.
I don’t believe in surrender. I’m not saying that’s what you’re about here either. I certainly do believe it’s what the party is about.

Then why did Jim himself say that CA is a lost cause and he's moving to TX?
