So declares Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe, taking a few minutes away from a Thanksgiving retreat with his family. "Ninety-five percent of the nails were in the coffin prior to this week. Now they are all in."
If any politician might be qualified to offer last rites, it would be Mr. Inhofe. The top Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee has spent the past decade in the thick of Washington's climate fight. He's seen the back of three cap-and-trade bills, rode herd on an overweening Environmental Protection Agency, and steadfastly insisted that global researchers were "cooking" the science behind man-made global warming.
This week he's looking prescient. The more than 3,000 emails and documents from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU) that have found their way to the Internet have blown the lid off the "science" of manmade global warming. CRU is a nerve center for many of those researchers who have authored the United Nations' global warming reports and fueled the political movement to regulate carbon.
Their correspondence show a claque of scientists massaging data to make it fit their theories, squelching scientists who disagreed, punishing academic journals that didn't toe the apocalyptic line, and hiding their work from public view. "It's no use pretending that this isn't a major blow," glumly wrote George Monbiot, a U.K. writer who has been among the fiercest warming alarmists. The documents "could scarcely be more damaging." And that's from a believer.

Since I've been reading forums here, I have always appreciated your opinions. But when was the last time justice was served with a congressional investigation ? With all the crooked money this scam promises, I suggest we be very careful of those we trust.
Don't get me wrong, I WANT the guilty humiliated and punished. But when the bus goes over the cliff, I want everyone that hitched up their wagon to follow it. Some will have done so for treason, some for a fast buck. Let there be no empty seats on this wreck.
If you think this will make a difference, you’re dreaming. We can view all the emails, videos and interviews and the culprits can slither away quietly but the public WILL NOT KNOW this story.

Have any of you tried to inform your non-conservative friends, relatives and co-workers of the story? There is too much invested in this fraud. Do you actually think that teachers/academia, the MSM, book publishers, celebrities, media outlets, advocates and pundits will just quit? Did you see the Ed Begley Jr. tirade?
All they have to do is say “Denier, Beck, Limbaugh, Fox News, corporate lobbyist” and its swept away as another ‘right wing’ trick.
We will still have to pay for this nonsense. I hope I’m wrong but I cannot see the world just putting this aside and saying it was just a “mistake.” In a perfect world (or if Enron/Halliburton/AIG/Nixon cooked the numbers, we wouldn’t hear the end of it. As it is, we won’t hear a thing from the MSM except “illegal hacked email accounts” (not true).

Since everybody here has known about this for a week, the most interesting thing was the comments. Did you hear some of the Left screaming? Riggs: how much better Europeans live than Americans? and so on.
Actually, need to stop about the emails. The most interesting revelation was HARRY_READ_ME. The code is krap. On other sites there has been a lot of discussion about it: not professional, not sophisticated, not well-maintained. And for all the money spent and for all the money to be spent on tax and regulation for results based on sophomoric computer code modeling a system they don’t understand.
Good news that this might put a stop to the EPA. We need more true congressmen like Inhofe.

That would be my wish to see Gore prosecuted. Have to wonder how much him or one of his puppets paid off these people to keep up the sham.
That was a Thanksgiving present for sure. Zero is still planning to go Copenhagen to defend junk science as being real. Liberals look like the frauds they are in this and should send a message that you don’t want to trust these people with healthcare the way they manipulated the figures to get the answer they wanted even though it was a fraud.
