“Can a parent reject a child’s birthright for him/her and/or at what age can a child reject it?”

It is my understanding that a parent can reject a child's citizenship for him/her, but believe if one was once a US citizen they can change back by going through a process to do so. Perhaps another Freeper can answer your question as I am not sure.

Parents cannot renounce their children's citizenship according to the U.S. State Department's web site.
