I usually have to go back and forth with someone a couple of times to realize that they are unable to have an open mind with a subject.

In 50 years I have never heard anyone define someone born in this country as “not being a natural born citizen.” Where the parents are born is of no consequence if the child is born on US soil. The child is automatically a natural born citizen of the country.

What you are saying is insulting to thousands of children of immigrants that have come to this country, fought in our wars, and participated in our society.

Your argument of “look on the internet and read what people write in forums” as the basis for your belief if beyond scary.

For God’s sake, I write on these forums. What makes me an expert on anything.

That's because this absurd birther definition of Natural Born Citizen wasn't hobbled together until shortly after Obama was elected. But they'll tell you it's been the Law of the Land since time immemorial.

I never said it was, I said they had to be citizens.

The child is automatically a natural born citizen of the country.

If the parents are not citizens, the child is not eligible to be president. Everything else yes.

Your argument of “look on the internet and read what people write in forums” as the basis for your belief if beyond scary.

I never said that either. I said look on the FreeRepublic. This has been rehashed so many times by people on both sides this is just beating a dead horse. I'm not going to refight this issue just for your convenience...people did research, go read it yourself.

The founders knew what they meant, they used the then-contemporary definition, you can find it in their writings, and by another poster on this very thread.

Besides, you don't know where he was born nor who the father was. I, the son of a foreign national mother know those facts about myself and so do most Americans.

Your uncurious faith in the unknown is what is scary.

The founders worst fears may well have been realized and we have a right to know the facts. What is obvious, is that our current president hates America, is doing his level best to tear it down in a hurry, and shows subservience to our enemies...Or do you deny that too?
