Since the first undercover ACORN video was released two months ago, ACORN’s few remaining defenders have fallen back on the talking point that, whatever the misdeeds of some of its employees, the organization provides important services to poor and low-income families. Without ACORN, we are told, many underprivileged families would lose an important voice for their needs.
Really?
Below is one family’s application for food stamp benefits that ACORN threw out with its trash, in advance of a visit from officers of the Attorney’s General office.
Read the doc, of course. Notice how much the rent is of someone looking for food stamps and how much disposable income they have. Of course, I guess with seven folks in the house it can get a little expensive. Me, I'm just crazy enough to pay for my three kids and a wife. Guess that makes me a cold-hearted bigot and a racist because I believe my family is my responsibility. But hey...

Our local news just had on a story about county inmates getting their GEDs and apparently they will get a scholarship to a community college. How about getting a “JOB”?! When they get out, they’ll be rewarded by taking scholarship money and a college slot from some law-abiding citizen.
I guess we just don’t know how to work the system...

Only if he is here legally. If not, his declared income will be always $0 even if he comes to Home Depot every day at 6am and returns home with pockets full of cash.

Those names would be unlikely to be given by Gloria and Alejandro. It also explains why this was part of the document dump. I sure wish the dates of birth weren’t blacked out.

That was my impression too.
As I accessed the link to the food stamps form, I looked at the lower left corner of my Window’s screen that denotes the loading of a new “site”; the area that usually says “waiting for freerepublic.com....”-—funny-—it said “waitng for fracturedrepublic.com”......
WTF?
Sorry for previous post-—I see by your tagline, the “WTF” was uncalled for, concerning “fracturedrepublic.com”——I’m seeing conspiracies EVERYWHERE these days. (who can blame me, under the “Won’s” stint?)
