Uniformed and plain-clothed Egyptian policemen clash with a demonstrator in al-Mukatam neighbourhood in Cairo on May 2009. Hundreds of Muslim protesters on Saturday burnt Christian-owned shops in southern Egypt and attacked a police station where they believed a Christian accused of raping a Muslim girl was being held, a police official said.
.- For several days massive mobs of Muslims have been attacking Coptic Christians in the Egyptian town of Farshoot 300 miles south of Cairo. The mobs looting, vandalism and arson have caused at least $1 million in damage as Copts hide indoors for fear of their lives.
Many Copts have been attacked and injured, the Coptic American Friendship Association (CAFA) says. Coptic priest Rev. Benjamin Noshi suffered a fractured skull in the attacks and is now hospitalized.
Nearly 3,000 Muslims have been damaging and looting at least 50 Christian-owned shops, including jewelry stores and pharmacies. Most Coptic businesses in Farshoot have been looted or burned and many families have been thrown out of their homes by other Muslim residents.
The attacks were sparked by a claim that a 20-year-old Christian man, who is in custody, had a relationship with a 12-year-old Muslim girl.
Coptic Bishop Kirollos of Farshoot said that the attacks were planned ahead of time. He suggested that the principal of an Islamic institute in the town motivated his students to attack Christians. The bishop also criticized the security forces, who reportedly disappeared without making any arrests despite victims demands that they end the attacks.
It has become clear that the organized violence is spreading out to more villages only to target the Christian lives and businesses while the police continue to watch, CAFA reports. The last 90 days witnessed at least seven similar attacks on Christian villages, where at least five Copts were killed, many Coptic girls and women were abducted and forced to embrace Islam with the assistance of the Egyptian authorities.
CAFA appealed to American and international human rights organizations to demand that the Egyptian government take immediate action to protect Christian lives and properties.
According to CAFA, there are about 18 million Copts in the Middle East (10%of the population).
The following is a description (slightly modified) from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. www.frontline.org.za/books_videos/sti.htm
As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness.
At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs [Europe, Australia, USA and Japan]. Six percent of US prison inmates are Muslim. Like any other minority, they wont integrate, but work to build their own separate community.
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. South Africa's Muslim population is 2%, but they control 35% of the businesses, a large percentage of the banks and have five Cabinet seats while Christians (77% of the population) have none.
They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves (along with threats for failure to comply).
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia; Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world, but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. (Ei: car-burnings in France last October.) Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats.
After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning (India, Mindanao, Philippines).
At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare [Indonesia].
From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya (infidel tax). (Sudan, Kosovo, Lebanon and Egypt).
After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide [Western Papua (New Guinea), Iran, Biafra, Turkey and North Nigeria].
100% will usher in the peace of "Dar-es-Salaam" - House of Peace - as in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Yemen.
Ping!
I’m shocked, just shocked.
And this happens after Obama went to Cairo to make nice with the Muslim world. After he admitted that America hasn’t always lived up to its highest ideals. And after deciding that Sept. 11th was not really an act of war, as his administration decided that KSM and the others should get a civilian trial for their Sept. 11th crimes.
I was under the mistaken impression that all this type of stuff would not happen any more, because Obama has made nice with the Muslim world. (sarcasm)
And the media and the left will go on crowing about Christofascism and ignoring the murders committed by these savages.
Hmmm, who'd of thought it? R.O.P. and all that!
Be interesting to see how this goes in the U.S. when it gets here.
What was that about playing Cowboys and Muzzies?
I don't believe the charge for a single moment, but if it was a Muslim accused of raping a Christian girl or even a Muslim accused of raping a Muslim girl, how many of them would be rioting?
Exactly.
Religion of Peace MY ASS!!!
Here's a picture from a few years ago. The Egyptians like to pound on Christians.
But don't worry! Obama will SURELY talk to his Egyptian muzzl'em buds and straighten this out forever. /s
