To: La Enchiladita

I’m half Irish, too, but by some fluke, my Irish parent’s name was actually a Spanish name (supposedly, one of the Armada sailors who hid out from the British by marrying an Irish woman). And the rest is a completely weird mixture drawn from 200+ years of America...

It’s a pity our president doesn’t have the same loyalty or understanding of what it really means to be an American.

Galway, in the west of Ireland, is well known as a Spanish port of Elizabethan times, and the locals love to tell you about it. The claddagh symbol reputedly came from the Spaniards.
