Well, GOODY for him! He’s probably so excited and grateful he’s going to rape another 13 year old.

Article was updated.
Apparently the appeals court has reversed the lower court ruling and will allow Polanski out on 4.5 Million Bail.
This is “nothing” for him ....

Can’t someone just squash this creepy bug? I mean, really.

further,
they believe that the “additional measures” (turning over his passport) and “house arrest” with a gps sender are sufficient.
considering that the borders here are open (i.e. no need to show a passport to cross over to france, germany, austria or italy) I doubt that the lack of a passport will be much of a hindrance. and the gps is a joke - he can be over the border before they even know he is moving!

Why all this animosity toward a misunderstood artist?
Okay, he raped a little girl, but it wasn’t rape-rape. It’s not like he drugged her and then forced himself on her while she was resisting both the drugs and his superior strength and size while shouting “NO!” and “STOP!” ... okay, maybe it is ... but his work is wonderful and that makes up for a few character blemishes. Besides, the incident he was convicted of was a long time ago, so it’s okay, isn’t it?
[Note to the sarcasm impaired - with today’s liberals, I can understand why it’s hard to tell the difference between sarcasm and normal liberalism; any guesses which category fits my post?]

I understand that he owns a vast estate in Switzerland. Be a pity if he couldn’t go visit it ever again.

you don´t need a passport to enter or leave the swiss. there are no border controlls where you would have to show your passport. just hit a car or train and travel to the next country.

oh - how nice ...
his “house arrest” is in gstaad - about 70 km from the frech border (by car) - the town next over is Saanen and has a small airport ...
this will be real hard for him to escape these draconian measures to hold him in switzerland ....
