ZeroHedge is sloppy. “Russian Hackers” isn’t being used anymore except as a possibility. More likely is a whistle-blower. The “Russian Hacker” story appears to have come from the hoaxers themselves.

I pretty much agree...it’s an insider. The thing that the entire establishment of global warmers have to worry about...within their secure server at anyone of the one hundred universities supporting them...is that someone within the group already has the admin password and has a copy of every email over the past decade. I would suspect that various people are now rushing to delete their emails...but it’s probably too late.

In the end...the intellectuals probably felt everyone around them was one and the same...and they were wrong.

The comments section on zerohedge updates that it was probably a whistleblower.

Maybe they meant to write about how the “hackers were RUSHING to get this to the BBC for a hot story”—that they sat on and tried to bury six weeks ago.
