Very good read, one thing not touched on though that needs mentioning:

The leftists have grossly underestimated the American people. The backlash against totalitarian marxist government will be hugh, and series.

My other epiphanies: those ponytailed guys were marching for abortion rights not because they cherished women's reproductive freedom, but to keep women available for free and easy sex.

Well, I'm glad that Robin has discovered the truth on this one, but, to be honest, for anyone with the eyes to see and brain to think, it about as obvious as the sun coming up every morning. I have never encountered a male supporter of "abortion rights" who, when pressed, didn't admit that the reason the supported abortion was to preserve the option of paying off a woman not to bear their child and so be relieved of any long-term financial obligation. It's about sex and money with these sleazebags, nothing more. Few things on this Earth can be more despicable scum than a man who would use a woman in this way and pay her to kill her child.

Fabulous! As a long-time conservative, I knew many of these individual facts about the left. But hearing it from someone who “came out from among them” is just amazing, because it gave me a whole new sense of connectedness between several seemingly unrelated dots. I get now the dark motivation for the method of attack on Palin, which had eluded me, operating as it did at a subliminal level. I am in debt to you, Robin of Berkeley.

Outstanding! Should be required reading for all liberals.

Bookmarked -- on FR and on my browser...

FWIW, I've been on FR most of the day -- and, yet, I missed the earlier posting. Thanks for the second chance!

I particularly appreciated this genuine truth on abortion:

"...those ponytailed guys were marching for abortion rights not because they cherished women's reproductive freedom, but to keep women available for free and easy sex."

BULLSEYE!!!

It happens ... David Horowitz left the liberal/communist/socialist party. He is vocal, smart, knows how the left thinks, operates, and is ready to speak and write all about it. He is heavily criticized by all leftist groups.

It must be like coming out from being hypnotized for most of ones life ... whenever a liberal wakes up and becomes conservative.

Amazing article. We see this acted out in the news everyday. Ugly, mean, snide, demeaning, comments from lots of well known names, attacking Sarah. Maratha Stewart, David Letterman (every single show, most of their comments were laid on Bush and Reagan too, constantly. They have no grace. And can not be expected to change ever.

God bless Sarah, protect her and strengthen her, keep her safe, in Jesus name, amen.

“And the eagerness for women to make good money? If women work hard, leftist men don’t have to.”

I believe I heard Rush say this a decade ago — or read it in one of his books. Except that now it’s not just “leftist men”; nearly all men have bought into this. When men stopped taking pride in providing for their families, the homes became weaker. IMHO...

Her part about liberals name-calling Hillary (I guess Obama supporters) disappointing her made me feel left out. Us conservatives also have a few choice words for Hillary and what she stands for.

The Wilding of Sarah Palin

The word "wilding" really evokes potent imagery. I'm sure none of us will forget the relentless savage attacks on the women in Central Park. And this image of "wilding", as a metaphor, in relation to Sarah Palin, fits so perfectly. The Left has been relentless in their attacks on her. Using everything they can think of to attack her -- calling her names (slutty flight attendant), her Down Syndrome baby (is the child really hers), her wayward daughter (jokes about being knocked-up), her way of speaking ("you betcha"), Levi Johnson (who is now the "go-to" authority on Sarah Palin), etc etc -- it really IS a wilding, in the way they go after her, relentlessly, day after day, using any and all means to attack her, to try and take her down.

I don't know where she gets the strength to deal with it all. All I know is, she is still standing.

Thanks Slyfox. A great article. I’ve read a few others from Robin of Berkeley and they are also very good. I’d recommend them to others, including the one where she describes the events which forced her to reject her liberal past.

I learned all I had to know about the so-called "women's movement" when I contrasted how they handled the sexual allegations made against Republican senator Bob Packwood and Democratic president Bill Clinton. In the former case, the Republican senator was run out of office, in the latter case, the women making the accusations were marginalized as "trailer-trash whores" and the Democratic president was not only given a free pass but given carte blanche to continue in his womanizing ways.

The women's movement is not about "women's rights" at all, but it is all about acquiring political power and they will cast any of their fellow women aside in order to obtain and retain it.

Wow what a great article. It's got so many truths in it.

"My other epiphanies: those ponytailed guys were marching for abortion rights not because they cherished women's reproductive freedom, but to keep women available for free and easy sex."

" And the eagerness for women to make good money? If women work hard, leftist men don't have to. "

How accurate are these statements? I think most leftist men I know are EXACTLY like this.

I was motivated to look for this article because of the latest attack on Sarah Palin due to the feigned outrage at the pic being circulated of her small child standing on their large family dog.

I am grave-digging this post because now it is the only source of the complete article. It has been taken down from the original source.

This why it is important to post an article in its entirety here on Free Republic [if allowed] because they will otherwise be edited or lost altogether.
