Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And for their trouble, three of the SEALs, members of the Navy's elite commando unit, are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.
The three have refused non-judicial punishment called an admiral's mast and requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors and he had the bloody lip to prove it.
Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Matthew McCabe, Jonathan Keefe and Julio Huertas are heroes and this is their reward. Fallujah should have been levelled in 2004.
Then I would start seriously thinking about charging the prosecution with contempt of court, and make it stick. There is no way in Hell, that we can support our fighting forces this way; if we continue down this path, we will essentially kill our fighting force. Because, who in their right mind would dare to perform the expected duties as a soldier, if they are going to have to second guess every action they make.
I am reminded of the case against Colonel Terry Childers, in the movie Rules of Engagement, and have to think that our CIC could intervene and fix this, but, methinks that this is his doing, in the first place.
My sentiments exactly!
My GOD, what are we doing? Are we actually trying to kill our own soldiers? Because, that's what we are doing. You may as well send in Barney Fife.
It sure looks that way, Terrence. Thanks for serving, anyway, in spite of having to put up with the BS.
Heck, more than a few Freepers have told us there was/is no difference between Hussein and McCain.

Amen.
Amen! I honestly think that PC will be the death of our USA.
How do they know the SEALs made “false statements?”
Because they differ from the terrorist POS?
Do they have depositions or confessions? What a sham.
REPEAT!
REPEAT!
REPEAT!
HAVE WE GONE INSANE AS A NATION?
WE CANNOT LET THIS STAND.
Didn’t ya read the article?
It’s all about “sensitivity to detainee abuse” now.
Let’s just raise the white flag and be done with it.
So he got coldcocked. Bastard deserved it and more.
When a Navy Seal team, or special forces, or any military unit is in the process of capturing and detaining a high value target it is not unusual in the least for them to be rendered "mute" in the process. <0p> Clearly the guy was not permanently damaged...that'll come later.
This PC Bravo Sierra has got to end. The rediculous mirandizing and other civil LEO rules they are imposing on our military are dangerous to the war effort and to the individual soldiers.
Enough is enough! Far MORE than enough.
I have been sitting here for the past 15 minutes trying to find words. There aren’t any. The well has gone dry.

BS.
You tell that to Marcus Luttrell and the men who served with him. If you don’t know who he is, and it wouldn’t surprise me, Google him.
Those men thought the world of GWB because he gave them the support they needed. I trust their opinion a hell of a lot more than I trust yours.
I don’t agree with many of the things GWB did in office, but knock off the moral equivalency crap. It is just plain stupid.
If you can’t tell the difference between George W. Bush and Barak Obama both in the way they support and treat the military, and in the way the military viewed them, then you have no damned business posting here.
It will soon be time!
The SEALS secured a target and gave him an “owie” in the process. And now they face a courts martial for their trouble in following orders. With this news, the war has been officially reduced to a law-enforcement issue. EXACTLY what John Kerry wanted when he ran for President.
