Then there’s this:
Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum tells WTVD-TV that sales of Palin’s book at the post store have been weak so far.
I don’t suppose it occurred to tom that maybe buyers
were waiting for Sarah?
So the spokesman for the base is a civilian?
“So the spokesman for the base is a civilian?”
Not unusual at all. I was in the Public Affairs field in the AF; civilian PAers are common.
Nowadays, the public affairs officers are generally civilians.
AAFES has the absolute worse selection of books anywhere! If you want another book about Obama, your in the right place, conservative writers... head to Books a Million or Amazon! I don’t even bother to look at the book section anymore.
Of course if Sarah were to come to Robins, I would buy a second copy!
The notion of “Army being apolitical” is BS then.
They don’t want Palin to promote her book in “aggressive” manner and yet a Fort Spokesman is “politicizing” the sales of Palin’s book?
In short, it’s just another demonstration of being PC on the part of our Army officials.
Unless you can't get off post, the PX is usually the last choice to look for anything. Book-a-million, Barnes and Nobles, etc all offer better selections and similar prices.
