Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana said shell vote to move ahead with the Senate health bill, but has three conditions before she agrees to vote yes on the final bill. Those conditions are important, because Ms. Landrieu is one of the Democratic swing votes Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) needs to win final passage. Here they are:
1) More tax credits for small business to buy health insurance. The issue is a consistent theme for Ms. Landrieu, who is chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee. The bill already includes some credits at a cost of $27 billion over a decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
2) Measures to prevent sharp health premium increases between now and the time the bill goes into effect. Ms. Landrieu noted that several years would pass between passage of the bill and 2014, when many of its provisions take effect including the introduction of insurance exchanges where people could comparison-shop for plans.
3) A better and bipartisan solution to the question of a government-run, health-insurance plan sought by liberal Democrats. The current bill includes the public plan, with an option for states not to participate. But Ms. Landrieu indicated she preferred a proposal by Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe, under which the public plan would be triggered only if other steps didnt make coverage affordable.
Will she get what she wants? Mr. Reid can probably offer something on the first two conditions, but the third one is tougher because many Senate Democrats insist the public plan must be part of the bill from the start.

Hey mary, forget it.You’re just an old fat whore and nothing more.
What BS on her part - all this said to make it look like she’s not the wholesale prostitute that she is....she knows exactly how she’s going to vote. Forget the posturing, Mary, we know what your price was, and it wasn’t all that much to sell out your country.
What ,she wants another $100 million?
She sold us out for less than a dollar apiece. F... her!!!
Sorry for the cuss word but it’s the only way I can express my feelings for this woman.
A bigger bribe, no doubt. I wonder how much it will take to buy her vote this time?
What? $100 MILLION in perks for her state got her to turn-tail and vote for this to go to the floor for debate in the first place!
Not only has it been established that she’s a wh@re (price tag - 100 million dollars) but she’s a GREEDY one, to boot!
Beotch.
We all know she is a cheap whore so perhaps Reid needs to pay her $300 MM, on top of the original $100 MM, for another yes vote.
She’s established what she is...all that remains is determining a price.
And her vote only cost us 300 million dollars! All for a bill no one wants or likes.
And she’s poised to win next year.
Have a nice day. :D:D:D:D
Dear Mary: We know what you are...we just don’t know what you charge.
Mary go back to the street corner and do what you do best
Oh, PULEEEEZE...give it a break, Landrieu!
We already how VERY IMPORTANT you are! ha.
Now try to” clean it up ‘ before the S... hits the fan!
do you really think we are THAt stupid.?
Whore!
Arrest her for extortion!
One condition. A minimum of $100 million dollars for New Orleans shanty town.
I hope you peruse Free Republic Mary. You should know you’ve taken a huge jump up on the list of people who will regret what they’ve done to this country.
Everything I read makes it more and more madness. Sure, just add a provision against price increases. Will the Congress snap its fingers or wiggle its nose to make this magic work? It’s all crazy.
bought and paid for by the dems. She is a big old whore.
This “Big Easy” shakedown is just a little more subtle than the Chicago thug-hustle. Illinois’ handout must be next on the runway.
