I never missed Hoosier's classical music threads. It was such a great pleasure for me to read them. These threads plus his love of country are his Free Republic testament.

My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Hoosierhawk and family.

In honor of our freeper brother, may I post a verse from my favorite hymn? The music (from his famous symphonic poem, "Finlandia") is written by the great classical composer, Jean Sibelius, who also passionately loved his native land.

"Be still my soul, the Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain
Leave to the Lord to order or provide
In every change, He faithful will remain
Be still my soul, thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end!"

Well said leni, I loved that thread and looked forward to it. I would play whatever he put up during the Sunday morning reading of FReeRepublic.
God Bless Mrs. HoosierHawk and family.
We will miss him...
