"If you get to the final point and you are a critical vote for health care reform and every piece of evidence tells you if you support the bill you will lose your job, would you cast the vote and lose your job? CNNs John King asked Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado on Sundays State of the Union.
Yes, Bennet bluntly and simply replied.
Bennet was appointed by Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter to replace Sen. Ken Salazar, who stepped down from the Senate to serve as President Obamas Interior Secretary.

Note from Kristinn:
Media Matters excoriated Rush Limbaugh last week for saying the Democrats were like suicide bombers for voting against the public's will on the health care bill:
Rush concluded that the Democrats have become the "Kamikaze party" and the "equivalent of political suicide bombers" because they plan on voting on a bill that, to Rush at least, is unpopular with American voters and will bankrupt the country.
We'll be looking on Monday for Media Matters' apology to Rush.

And may this RAT’s name go down in history as a traitor and his or her family disgraced for all time.
There will be a special place in Hades for these traitors to roast for eternity along with the likes of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mengele, Eichmann, Mao.

Yes, some heath care reform is needed to stop the massive fraud it incurs.
BUT, not this bill THAT NO ONE HAS READ BUT insists it’s the right one.
Lazy worthless azz***** can’t use their precious time to even read the damn thing.

And there is a special place for all the conservative voters who absolutely refuse to be the least bit involved in supporting any candidate ... in some of these crucial races.
It is reasonable that most people don’t get involved in campaigns. It is unreasonable that often nobody is involved.
Which is how we got Salazar and Ritter in the first place.

Rush concluded that the Democrats have become the "Kamikaze party" and the "equivalent of political suicide bombers" because they plan on voting on a bill that, to Rush at least, is unpopular with American voters and will bankrupt the country.
Individual Dems in vulnerable seats that vote for this thing? Absolutely correct.
The Dem Party itself is poised to reap all sorts of mid and long-term benefits tho, by creating the government-dependency J-curve that will result from HCR.

The real question buried here is:
WOULD YOU VOTE FOR THIS BILL EVEN IF YOU KNEW YOUR CONSTITUENTS DON'T WANT IT.
The answer: YES!

Congress is starting to look like Jonestown with the true believers lining up for their poisoned kool-aid. I don't know how these idiots will face their constituents during the Thanksgiving recess and I'm sure their offices have been inundated with calls, faxes and e-mails that they are simply ignoring.

Rush is right ... again.
People of Colorado, this bum (Bennett) has just dared you to vote him out. Please comply with his wish.
To: kristinn
every piece of evidence tells you if you support the bill you will lose your job,
And why are they aware of possibly losing their jobs - because AMERICANS don't want the anti-American government control health care. They are admitting they know it w/that comment - they CANNOT say they are representing their constituents! They are representing the wishes of their commie leader.
To: ExTexasRedhead
At least he gave an honest answer.
Face it, this is what the RAT party has hoped for, worked for, (and in a few rare cases, maybe even prayed for) for decades. If you know what a snake is, you can’t be surprised when it bites.

These voters knew they were getting wishy washy candidates. Made no difference to them at the time they were voting. You get what you vote for. It’s why I get so mad when I read about NY-23. Conservatives did the right thing, although belatedly. I’d rather have a straitforward commie than a wishy washy rino any time.

At least he gave an honest answer.Wow, how honest.
The guy says he is going to vote against the wishes of his constituents right before everybody is about to see him do it.
To: kristinn
Well, Kristinn, as much as I like Rush, I was saying this back here on FR in late JULY!!!! People here blew me off, saying, "oh, they want their seats more than they want socialism." Nope. They are precisely suicide bombers, willing to die to put the doomsday machine into action.
Look under the title, "What if They Don't Care?" sometime around July or early August.

We may have a “Suicide Obamer” in the White House as well. I really don’t think he cares about being president in 2013.
