Think how much money we could save!
In his June 13 New York Times op-ed, Tyler Cowen wrote, Medicare expenditures threaten to crush the federal budget. The title of the article was Somethings Got to Give in Medicare Spending. Got it. Old people cost too much money to keep aliveand you younger disabled people on Medicare, youre not helping either.
So, whats Mr. Cowens solution? Lets limit health care benefits to old and disabled people. Boggles the mind.
One of the proposals coming out of the Obama administration is to limit end-of-life care. What exactly does that mean?
In 1974, thenColorado Governor Dick Lamm, an outspoken advocate of physician-assisted suicide explained his support for the measure this way. He said, "We've got a duty to die and get out of the way with all of our machines and artificial hearts and everything else like that and let the other society, our kids, build a reasonable life."
Boggles the mind.

Social Security and Medicare money is not the governments money. We contribute that money from our paychecks every week and it is matched by our employer. It is our money.
Also get ready to lose everything you own.
Just as the National Socialists in Germany in the ‘30s “processed” the Jews before sending them to the death camps, the International Socialists in the United States in the 2000’s plan on doing to us. The difference is that the Nazis used the law on the Jews and the Socialists will use the law and taxes on us.
As of today, November 22, 2009, If we do not succeed in killing obama care , they will kill us through it.
Is that Hairy Reed and Nancy poluka in that picture??
If enough terminally ill & elderly people given up for dead by the government commit to going “jihad” on same, I’ll bet our so-called leaders may want to revisit the decision to bury them too early. I can only speak for myself, but if put in this situation I guarantee you I’ll take as many democrat politicians with me as I can. What the hell would I have to lose?
Surgeon General's Warning:
Being on a Death Panel could be hazardous to your health.
That would eliminate AIDS, visits to emergency rooms at hospitals, chronic dependitis, colicky dyspepsia, and shrunken brain syndrome.
No, the money you contributed has already been spent long ago. You are now spending the next generation's money. These two programs are not finacially sound unless you raise the taxes immediately to about 30 percent from 15% now.
You first Tyler Cowen, you first. Got your fracking cardboard box from U-Haul right here.
Any doctor or nurse has seen a patient with advanced Alzheimer’s, not recognizing anyone or responding, with contractures, and bedsores to the bone - and when this patient comes down with pneumonia or a UTI, the family wants all stops pulled out, the ICU, sometimes out of guilt because they didn’t visit because they couldn’t stand to see Mom like that.
Pneumonia used to be called “the old man’s friend.”
I’m leery of ‘quality of life’ arguments, but at the natural end of someone’s life, quality does matter.

Obama: “Shovel Ready Seniors”.
I know that. However, it is money we worked for and put in SS by forced contributions from our paychecks. It is not an entitlement as in welfare or a government charity check.
You can say that again.. ;)
In Soylent Green they called it "going home." They euthanized the old after refusing them medication.
I will be 53 years old next Spring and will be on several medications for the rest of my life. I still hold a full time job and live a complete live without any help from the govt.
Will the death date be 70? 60? 50?
I never thought that as I grew old my own country would plan to exterminate me!
Finish the thought, ZerO, the Stalin of our time.
Before the Nazi’s “processed” the Jews, they started on the disabled, and infirm. The “usless eaters” of society.
Well I figured it would be us older generation to die in the next revolution, saving liberty and justice for the younger generation of pukes, well maybe we should reconsider.
