Harry Reid quotes communist Andrei Sakharov

I don't know whether Sakharov was ever a member of the Communist Party.

I do know he ranks with Solzhenitsyn, Thatcher, Walesa, JPII and Reagan among those who helped bring down the USSR, the greatest achievement of the second half of the 20th century.

He was persecuted for his stand by the KGB and I personally would be honored to quote him.

Andrei Sakharov was named “Hero of Socialist Labor” three times (1953, 1956, and 1962).

Mr. Sakharov was a winner of the “Order of Lenin”, the “Stalin Prize”, and the “Lenin Prize”.

Maybe Senator Reid could have found a man to quote that more ably spoke truth!
