There’s no stopping this. And you’ll be amazed how easily it will pass the Senate. A year from now, the attitude will be “We got socialized medicine, and the world didn’t end! Those demotards were right.” 2010 will not be a bloodbath, people forget. And the ugly stuff doesn’t hit until 2013, remember. That is deliberately planned.

The GOP will be lucky to pick up twenty seats in the House, maybe even ten. The republic has been dying for decades; the ascension of Teleprompter Jesus is just the arrival of the minister for the funeral. Barry was right, the Nation Below Canada is no more exceptional than Greece or Turkey or Zimbabwe. The voters have seen to that.

Time to sack DC.

Sounds good but democrats will get their clocks cleaned in 2010. I don’t think there will be any stopping it. Landrieu will be gone this time. I’m here in NJ where they threw Corzine out for a frankly rather blah republican candidate.

Obama is harder to beat only because 99% of blacks will turn out for him and even he will be endangered in 2012.

No there isn't, and no I won't.

I'll admit I have days when I think "just how %^*%$#@!!!! stupid were the American people to elect Obama????" and get thoroughly depressed about the state of our country and where it's headed.

Then I have days like today where I see Obama's "popularity" has dropped below 50%, 65% of American's think Tax Cuts and less government spending are the way out of this recession depression and my faith in the intelligence of the American people is renewed - even if ever so slightly.

Chin up, we win in the end.

You seem to find these threads full of distraught conservatives and cut and paste your defeatist diatribes from other, earlier threads. Why? If we get bad law, we have to deal with it. Folding up into the fetal position is not dealing with it. Who are you?

Try this. What if, rather than just talking about how miserable we all are, we get as many people as possible to sign off on the Manhattan Declaration? Basically, it preempts the wait to November 2010 by drawing a line in the sand right now. That declaration sends a clear message that all who sign it will engage in conscientious civil disobedience. Simply put, we will not comply. If only a handful do this, it will go nowhere. But if the naysayers among us would stop throwing cold water on hot spirits, we could get this teapot to critical mass and finally boil over. Any thoughts?

The ugly stuff hits right away in terms of higher premiums and taxes and a stalled economy and no jobs. There will be a severe price to pay for these traitorous Communists in the Democrat Party.
