'This isn't the Britain we fought for,' say the 'unknown warriors' of WWII
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | 21st November 2009 | Tony Rennell

Sarah Robinson was just a teenager when World War II broke out.

She endured the Blitz, watching for fires during Luftwaffe air raids armed with a bucket of sand.

Often she would walk ten miles home from work in the blackout, with bombs falling around her.

As soon as she turned 18, she joined the Royal Navy to do her bit for the war effort.

Hers was a small part in a huge, history-making enterprise, and her contribution epitomises her generation's sense of service and sacrifice.

Nearly 400,000 Britons died. Millions more were scarred by the experience, physically and mentally.

But was it worth it? Her answer - and the answer of many of her contemporaries, now in their 80s and 90s - is a resounding No.

They despise what has become of the Britain they once fought to save. It's not our country any more, they say, in sorrow and anger.

Sarah harks back to the days when 'people kept the laws and were polite and courteous. We didn't have much money, but we were contented and happy.

'People whistled and sang. There was still the United Kingdom, our country, which we had fought for, our freedom, democracy. But where is it now?!'

The problem is that these people are the ones that destroyed western civilization with their immigration laws.

The U.S., Britain, Scandinavia and most other western countries adopted vigorous ‘replacement of the then current citizens, with third world immigrants’, policies in the 1960s. Forty-five years later those immigrants are too powerful in our democracies for a conservative swing to reverse or even stop the colonization of the west by the third world.

“Forty-five years later those immigrants are too powerful in our democracies for a conservative swing to reverse or even stop the colonization of the west by the third world.”

Very true. And you need only look at our failing public schools (particularly those that are now third-world ghettos) to see that this has been a disaster.

We have “progressives” to thank for the inexorable swing. Sad thing is that they contribute nothing to us all. They produce no children, and they demand the conversion of our own to their failing ideology.

Wrong “kind” of immigration. Pat Buchanan has warned us in “Death of The West” how chain legal migration, illegal immigration, and anchor babies from countries that do not share our cultural and religious traditions has all but fully changed the societies and cultures of western Europe. Wake up! Stop all H1B visa. Deport, Deport, deport all those who have overstayed their visas or entered the US illegally. There is no second option here. And end all chain migration.

In general, people ought to be kept in the places they fu??ed-up. Fu??er-uppers are seldom assets where they go, but might be useful straightening things up where they came from. If they stay home and improve things, that is good. If they stay home and get waxed, that is perhaps unfortunate. If they emigrate and screw up the country that receives them, that is bad. If they wax citizens of the country that receives them, or upset its culture, that is bad.
If we let people in who are from defective civilizations, we are stupid. Just say no.

Since the left changed the immigration laws 45 years ago, the west is in a state of being colonized, broken up, erased, and replaced with new countries that will only retain flavors and traces of the originals.

My heart goes out to the folks in the article. I share their grief and rage, because everything they speak of is also happening here.

And what is being hatched now in Washington is not the America I fought for!

The America in which I was raised vanished decades ago.

Don't forget that those are also the same people who voted in the socialists that gave them British Steel, British Leyland, British Aerospace, and British Coal, not to mention the National Health Service. One of the reasons industry left was because of the nationalized industries/trade union councils collusion to make Britain only competitive with the Soviet Union.

As stupid as the gun laws were, we were never a gun owning nation.

1.5m guns at its highest in a population of 60 million. And factor in that most gun owners were owners of multiple weapons, so assume 3-4 weapons per owner maybe more.

Since the end of National Service in 1962, most British people had and have never handled a gun. Even air rifles and pistols.

True my friend! But there was always enough arms in the hands of a few to make a difference . That edge is gone.

I love Scotland by the way it is my second home. At least there , one can wear a knife when wearing the kilt.

I used to have a very interesting book that I brought to Canada with me from the UK. It is called “Now the war is Over.” In the various house moves we have made over the last 33yrs it has got lost. But it talked about how the UK fared from 1945 until about 1956 and in it you could see the way the country was going.

Almost all of the damage that has been done to the UK has been done by Labour and Socialist parties ...Nationalisation, the shutting down of National Service...the opening of the gates to the entry of anyone who could breath irrispective of what they could offer the country...all done to the greater glory of Political correctness..with no thought of the terrible effect that it would have on the country.

I remember walking down a street in Birmingham and on the other side of the road about 20 immigrants were sprawled across the sidewalk...forcing white folks to get into the road to get around them. I thought at the time that this was the way things were going in my country...and I didn’t want to have any part in it.

Maybe I should have stayed in the UK and tried to fight all this but the odds were heavily against any white Brit winning that one. So I came to Canada and never regretted it!!

I remember reading in the local paper how a ceiling had collapsed in one of the big houses that used to be owned by wealthy people who had left the area...the house was bought by Cypriots who then rented it out to other immigrants for as much as they could wring out of them.

The ceiling came down because 10 people were living in the attic...they had bedclothes up there and men would go to work in the morning and nightshift workers would come back and sleep in the same beds during the day.

They then would turn around and buy the houses next to them finally taking over the entire district because no white person would live next to them and suffer the insults and threats that came their way all too often.

I used to love my old country...it was a green and pleasant land...now it is an ugly gaping wound on the face of the earth. Sure tour operators will take visitors around the famous historical places...but they never take you to see Bradford which is the capital of Pakistan...they never take you to see the council slums that house multitudes of mostly the layabouts of the earth...they never explain how these people are living on the backs of the workers who give them welfare money every month so that they can be spit upon as they pass by...you will never see this because it is not politically correct.

Pardon me...I am getting mad just thinking about it! Well I hope that Brown and his forbears are happy now...they took something beautiful and turned it into a running sore!

Based upon your post, I bought the book you mentioned. It’s still available from eBay, Amazon and probably some others. Although I’m a proud Yank, I have a great affinity for England and our English Friends, as I believe most Americans do, and when we see this decline across the pond it touches our hearts as well.
For me the book will serve as a reminder of what a great Nation and a great people can be as we, the ones who care, work toward stopping the cancer of Socialism before it destroys the United States.

Well, I am alright: three sets of samurai swords, a ww2 Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife, butterfly knife, .22 air rifle, .22 air pistol, and a WW2 German bayonet. Oh, and a baseball bat.

Glad you love Scotland btw.

I bought an actual antique victorian officer’s sword while I was on holiday in Edinburgh. Carried it right past the Parliament Building, Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Office and back home one the train. Can’t think of how many bobbies I walked past. (It was wrapped up, but only in the most badly disguised sword-shaped parcel you’ve ever seen)....

Glad that you found that book Stoat.. there is some very interesting information in it... if you are a history buff like me. For instance most people think that wartime rationing ended as soon as the war ended in 1945...fact is that we still had rationing of clothes and some foodstuffs right up until 1952.

I distinctly remember when I joined the RAF in 1948 I was issued with a clothing book of coupons which allowed me to buy a small amount of clothing.

Of course this was only the essentials that were affected...housing was another thing entirely...basically there wasn’t a house to be bought even if you could afford it...guys returning from the war found out that they and their families were having to live in Quonset huts ..the kind they had just left in the forces.

Some thinking persons decided to build prefabs out of concrete with the utilities pre placed into them...these were only meant as a stopgap bt there are a lot of them still in use to this day. The book also talks about how the Labour factions and the do gooders managed to destroy the British way of life and lead us to the mess we are in today.

It is quite sad reading really.
