I feel compelled to point out a couple of things to my fellow FReepers:
The primary PR firm handling the propagation of this “manifesto” is owned and operated by very wealthy Mitt Romney supporter Mark DeMoss. A number of the original signatories have taken very large sums of money from Romney and his cronies, and either actively covered politically (lied) for Romney or hushed up publicly about Romney’s true record and attempts to deceive Christian conservatives.
If you sign this, you’re on Romney’s list.
Personally, I’ll pass.
I think a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. I’ll take the helpful message of this over some potential “Romney badness”.
Some tenuous link to Romney isn’t going to make this a bad thing for me.
