Islam needs a Reformation, but I don’t believe that the Islamic culture is advanced enough, or civilized enough to re-write the more violent tenets of their religious texts.
As you said, they will probably force the civilized world to execute an allied, global response to their madness. Mecca and Medina will likely not survive that response, when it comes. Neither will millions and millions of muslims. <<
As for Reformation, I think we should convert them to the Baha’i faith. As it is a million times closer to being a Religion of Peace than Islam and it has some roots in Islam so it will be more comfortable for them. It also doesn’t have rabid hatred of other religions either.
If they do bring a response it will be them bringing the house down on themselves....
Muslims will have to reform their religion, convert to a more peaceful religion, or become agnostic all on their own. We don't have the power to convert anyone who truly believes in any religion.
We do have the power, however, to pound their countries back to the stone age, and force them to stop the global jihad.
