It’s a payroll tax (Unimployment insurance) so most likely it’s per payday (normally biweekly).

ANY % tax is inherently destructive. You seemed to be OK with it because it was just a small bite. I say ANY give now, with things as they are economically is a KILLER, much less 8%.

Ah, yes, PA taxes, one reason I left that God forsaken Commonwealth. You are welcome to it.

You voted for “hope and change”.

Now bend over and get ready to take it. :)

I used to work on Figueroa Street and frequented that Carls, Jr. for lunch.

Weekends have always been quiet there...are you talking weekend or weekday?

It is per year.

The Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) is 0.8% (assuming that you are currrent on your State Unemployment Tax (SUTA))

That is levied on the first $7000.00 of wages paid per employee.

The maximum tax is $56.00 per employee per year.

The State tax is a little different. In Texas the rate ranges from 0.1% to 2.7%. Your rate is based on employer experience and the amount of paid unemployment claims. The tax is levied on the first $9000.00 of wages paid per employee per year. The tax ranges from $9.00 to $273.00

Your combined tax assuming you have the lowest state rate is $64.00 per employee per year. (Assuming that they make at least $9000 per year)

I cannot tell you how many Illinois Democrats I know who’ve retired to FL over the last twenty years. Nearly all our politicians own a second home there and retire to it with an IL pension.

Eventually, Texas will follow suit. People forget how wealth is created and it’s not at the government teat.

Why the surprise?

Did you really think communists only attack with tanks?

They’re just getting started.

Businesses are taxed 1% to 2.7% for the first $8,000 of earnings. I hate taxes, but this isn’t something that’s going to cause me to roll up and die and start laying off. I’ll be raising my prices in January anyway, just pass it on to all my kind customers, and more of it to the nasty ones.

High unemployment depletes fund (Tax on Employers will go from $8 to $100 per employee)

TAMPA - Business owners in Florida are about to get hit with a big tax hike:

Everyone get out of Florida as fast as possible...Head to Kansas or Texas...Just don't go to California...It's even worse!!

Every business could just lay off one SEIU employee to pay for it. So where’s the problem?

What they should is tell the government that they will close their doors first. That they will see them in hell before they pay that much. It is coming to that sooner or later, it might as well start now. Tell the obama voting bastards to go live on obama’s hope and change.

Coincidentally, I sent a modest donation to Rubio earlier today. I think it's important that we support conservatives outside of our own districts and states. We need to take the party and the country back from the commmies.
