Sarah Palin Gets The Rock Star Treatment As Book Tour Begins

They queued overnight, they wore T-shirts bearing her name and when she arrived they went bananas. It's the Sarah Palin show

Tim Reid

They had been waiting for her for more than 24 hours, camped out overnight on concrete pavements in the Michigan chill, and when their heroine stepped off her bus, in four-inch heels, black skirt and red blazer, clutching baby Trig, they roared at the woman they believe is going to save America.

“Alaska and Michigan have so much in common — the huntin’, the fishin’ and the hockey moms!” she declared to chants of “Sarah! Sarah!” and “USA! USA!”, as she went on to pay homage to “the hardworking, patriotic Americans” who had come to greet her.

It was as if 2008 had never ended. This first event of Mrs Palin’s 14-state, three-week book-signing tour had all the trappings of a political campaign — veteran White House handlers, a security detail, VIP invitations to local conservative activists — except this time the former Alaska Governor is nobody’s running mate.

Should anyone harbour doubts about what a potent political force Mrs Palin is and what a formidable candidate she would be if she chose to run in the next Republican presidential primary, the scenes at this event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, would dispel them.

There were “I love Sarah Palin” T-shirts, “Palin Power” posters above moose heads, “Team Sarah” jumpers, children in pushchairs, octogenarians in wheelchairs and hundreds upon hundreds of “Sarah Palin for President” badges.

They had been chanting “Sarah! Sarah!” since the first group of followers arrived at 9pm the previous night to get in line to meet her, and all had the same thing to say about her: she was “real”...

Such honesty and candor is found in the overseas press. Where's the NYTimes? Washington Post Headline?

Thank you London Times. We will never see such truthful coverage by our own media.

GO SARAH GO!!!

SARAH PALIN HONORING AMERICA AT A 911 MEMORIAL CEREMONY

"See, in order to be self-sufficient (we) must be allowed to develop, to drill and build and climb to fulfill our promise! We can not start believing that government is the answer. It can’t make you happy or healthy or wealthy or wise. What can? It is the wisdom of the people and our families and our small businesses and industrious individuals. And it is God’s grace helping those who help themselves." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009

Sarah still has the left, the DNC, the MSM and the RINOs all in a frenzy wondering what her next move will be and how it will be perceived...they almost literally froth at the mouth in their efforts to discredit her...and only discredit themselves in the process.

MANY MORE STICKER DESIGNS HERE

"...like that grizzly guards her cubs, as a mother naturally guards her own. I will keep that vow wherever the road may lead." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009

The Brits see what is happening, unlike our own willfully blind MSM and chattering pundrity.

“....a security detail...”

Glad to see that.

If the international, America-hating race Marxists are intent on their ambitious plans of destroying the American ideal, I don’t think they will stop at assassinating the single most CLEARLY threatening obstacle in their path:

The uniquely charismatic and voter-mobilizing Sarah Palin.

As Rush says, the Left will tell us by their actions who they are most afraid of. They must be shakin’ in their shoes!

I’m convinced if McCain had allowed her to campaign in Michigan and few other blue collar places, the election would have been a lot different.

Here's the schedule:

Sarah Palin: "Going Rogue" Book Tour Dates Through Thanksgiving

I think there may be an updated schedule somewhere with post-Thanksgiving dates but I don't have it on hand.

Yes.

Let’s also not forget how late Sarah Palin’s arrival on the scene was. If she had been on board even more a few more months it would have made a large difference.

Awesome picture of Sarah at the 9/11 ceremony. Here's one of the President at a Veteran's Day ceremony on 11/11/09 at Arlington National Cemetery.

It's a strange way to show respect, but I'm sure he knows what he's doing (/sarc)

That pic is actually at the Memorial Day ceremony. I ran with it to, but ultimately saw a video of the event and had to back off.

As much as we know how Obama is disposed against our nation, our constitution, and our flag...that particular incident is not him disrespecting the flag.

Those saluting are salutin Obama as President as he came out to deliver his speech.
