What on earth was Sarah Palin thinking when she posed in a pair of teeny-tiny gym shorts for a photograph that ended up on the cover of Newsweek -- a cover she has called "sexist"? Perhaps she was thinking that her image would only appear in the magazine she was posing for, Runner's World, and nowhere else, at least not for months and months. If so, she had good reason -- since, as DailyFinance has learned, the photographer who shot the picture violated his contract by reselling them to Newsweek.
That photographer, Brian Adams, could not immediately be reached, and his agent, Kelly Price, declined to comment, saying, "I keep all of my clients' business private." But a spokeswoman for Runner's World confirms that Adams's contract contained a clause stipulating that his photos of Palin would be under embargo for a period of one year following publication -- meaning until August 2010. "Runner's World did not provide Newsweek with its cover image," the spokeswoman said. "It was provided to Newsweek by the photographer's stock agency, without Runner's World's knowledge or permission." The spokeswoman declined to say whether Runner's World intends to respond to Adams's breach of contract with legal action.

What on earth was Sarah Palin thinking when she posed in a pair of teeny-tiny gym shorts for a photograph that ended up on the cover of Newsweek — a cover she has called “sexist”?
She was thinking “I’ll pose for this RUNNER’S MAGAZINE in my running clothes”
Aholes.
Sexist, perhaps.
Sexy, hell ya.
The question should have been: Was it proper for Newsweek to use a photo for other than its intended use?
And every red-blooded male would be screaming in agony and gouging their eyes out.
At least she can fill out whatever she wears well.
Is there a legal way of stealing?
I thought the Libs were all about encouraging fitness, cutting health care costs and fighting this obesity thing. You’d think they’d be thrilled to see a Governor touting fitness.
“a pair of teeny-tiny gym shorts”
Give me a break. Those running shorts are by no means ‘teeny-tiny’.
I guess I’m in the minority but I really don’t think the NewWeak photo will do anything but good for our gal Sarah. She looks great. The photo confirms that Conservative Women are gorgeous in contrast to Helen Thomas, the PerkyOne and the rest of the Leftist Fems who are really not competitive either physically or intellectually.
Palin just keeps getting publicity. You couldn’t buy this kind of exposure if you tried.
I ‘ve seen the pic—strange choice for Newsweak to put on the cover-but no biggie, especially sionce Sarah had no choice in that matter.
the magazine caption enrages me, however. I’m not as ga-ga for Palin as some , but I like her a lot, and this caption makes my blood boil-especially in contrast to the media love affair with Obumble.
I was wondering how Newsweek got the rights to run that photo. Now as it turns out they didn’t have the right. Hopefully Palin will sue them and the photographer.
