To get a *real* Coney Island hot dog, you get on the Q train to the end (Coney Island/Stillwell Ave.). Cross the street to Nathan's. Go inside and buy hot dog. Enjoy the breeze as you eat. :-)

I used to live 15 minutes by bus (86th Avenue to Cropsey to Stillwell) to Coney Island. Loved to get my dogs and soggy fries at Nathan’s, followed by a beer at Ruby’s as I looked out at the water (and some scary old Russian guys in speedos).
