THAT is the most useful demographic map since the red-blue electoral maps, the time=lapse setting this one in a league by itself. Bravo, and thanks for the post.

That one county in North Dakota has less than 2% unemployment - the only one left.

The map shows only up until the 8.5% national unemployment average promised by 0. It’s now about 20% worse than then with the national average over 10%.

Correct...and it accelerated once Obama was seen to be on the way to winning the election and really took off after inauguration.

Keep in mind that the GOP lost control of Congress in November of 2006. In January of 2007 Democrats were sworn into leadership. The deterioration begins and accelerates at a terrifying pace just as Obama is elected.

But, yet... they INHERITED this from Bush??? I DON'T THINK SO........

Excellent mapping of unemployment. I still believe that the average unemployment is well above the 10.2. Little doubt for me that as America fall further into the pit that a depression will hit us hard since Americans will run out of spending capital. Some of my friends are literally living on plastic. The well is going dry.

Well, there are only 100 people there, and 98 of them work on the farm. ;-)

“it accelerated once Obama was seen to be on the way to winning the election and really took off after inauguration.

I’m sure Obama will take credit for the fact that Washington DC appears to be one of the few remaining areas on the east coast that hasn’t gone purple yet.

Or the northern slope of Alaska.

It only runs through September 2009. It doesn’t show October or the 1st half of November when the overall rate went to 10.2%.

Must be solid farm country. Only God can fire a farmer.
