This reminds me of the 2006 story out of Philadelphia when the plumber’s union freaked out because a skyscraper was going to be built with urinals that did not require water to flush. With no water required, they did not need to install pipes – not good for the union members.

Screw ‘em. None of them have what takes to be an Eagle Scout anyway. It just pisses them off to see anyone be an achiever. I put well over 200 hrs in my Eagle project, and that was before the first board was cut or the the first shovel of dirt was turned. That was almost 40yrs ago.

This incenses me to the core. The BSA has a requirement to volunteer community service to obtain their highest rank. The SEIU, showing their true communist colors, wants to destroy that cultivation of a true volunteer mindset. This demonstrates, once again, that zero was lying in his support of volunteerism - it must be managed by the left to be valid.

Despite the reporting of the communist thugs SEIU attacking the volunteer work of a U.S. Boy Scout, the media still insist on presenting a biased perspective, not so much in the above report, but in the poll posted on your pages, 16 Nov 09:

As a former(recovering) union member(Laborers International) I can tell you the only language any of these thugs understand and respect is a good old-fashioned curb-stompping. The very idea these goons would allude to intimidating a young kid doing something as American as earning and Eagle Scout Badge. Real tough guys.
