The death toll has reached 189 and more than 1 million people have been infected 189 out of a million...what is that like .02% or something?

They proably won’t want to instill *panic* bad enough people are freaking out over the 2012 thingy, imagine if they say thousands are dying people will go bonkers on the planet.

YOu are exactly right. The mortality is very, very low.

Yes, 0.0189%. With 200 million people contracting this flu, we could expect about 37,800 deaths.
Of course that’s if this morality rate were entirely accurate and remained constant.
If they say at least one million contracted the disease, the number could be higher or even lower. 189 deaths is quite low.

189 out of a million...what is that like .02% or something? If this were the run of the mill seasonal flu, there would something like 500 fatalities out of a million cases.

How about less than 0.0002%.
