Body of Shaniya Davis found along the side of a road in rural N.C.
Mother sold the child last week into underground slavery. Last seen on a hotel video camera.
That’s a good one. The US has so many serial killers and they must have all come from a background of torturing animals, defined by gently tossing them from pen to pen, right?
BykrBayb, thank you for your permission. I would be glad to associate you with your pro-animal rights positions!
Folks, BykrBayb is the one who believes farmers should not be allowed to toss piglets from pen to pen or to do anything else she believes must be torture to animals in a farmer’s care.
IT? What do you mean, "it"??? This is a she, a person, a child, NOT an "it". What's the matter with you???
Oh, for crying out loud! Go back and read BykrBayb’s post. “It” was used in reference to the image in the security video, not to the child. What’s the matter with YOU?
some here scream for cap punishment for animal abusers and we have open season on babies en utero and then monsters like these folks
i get your point
The fact is that kids who torture animals are more likely to become murderers. Many murderers, especially serial murderers, started by torturing animals.
Animals suffer pain and fear. Anyone who doesn’t see this is sick in the head.
You should STFU and lay off BykrBayb. She is an excellent and honorable member of FR and you are a jerk.
That's how Jeff Daumer got his start, for one notable example.
There is a big difference between gently tossing a piglet into another pen and intentionally slamming it into a wall.
A lack of respect for living creatures (and this is coming from one who hunts for food and who will kill a dangerous predator without compunction) leads some twisted souls to amuse themselves by intentionally inflicting pain on other creatures--and sometimes other humans--for enjoyment. For some, it takes progressively more extreme acts to get their jollies.
That's sick, I don't care who you are.
Looks to me like the person in the security pictures IS the mother, same hair... - tet68Yes, it does look like the "mother."
But it also looks like the "man" who admitted to kidnapping her. - BykrBayb
After posting that, I worried that some might think I meant he admitted kidnapping the "mother," but it never occurred to me anyone would think I was calling the precious little girl an "it."
Thank you. As “ConservativeMind” has been told repeatedly, the video shows a man swinging a piglet through the air and slamming it into a wall for the fun of it, then tossing it into a dumpster with other sick/injured piglets, where he later gasses them until they are nearly dead, then lifts the lid to watch them slowly die. There are other parts of the video where the pigs/piglets are being handled humanely. That does not excuse the inhumane treatment which “ConservativeMind” is defending and sometimes even promoting. It would be wrong to torture animals even if there wasn’t proof that it can lead to violence against people. Since we know that it can lead to violence against people, there is no excuse for allowing it, much less promoting it.
May Shaniya Davis rest in peace, and may her loving Daddy find comfort.
r you.
Thanks for posting your comments. You would think what you said would be a no brainer. I certainly don’t equate animals with humans, but I have no problem with there being reasonable laws for humane treatment.
No piglet was “slammed” into a wall in the “Gassing” portion of that video at 6:25 into it. “Slamming” is a forceful hit, which, with a lame pig, would have actually put it out of its misery and would have been good. As it was, it was merely knocked against it and then put, fully alive, into the cart for which it was to be killed.
You animal rights people get everything so out of kilter that you lose all perspective. What’s funny is that according to hard core animal rightists, YOU are a hypocrite if you eat meat products of any sort or if you keep an animal penned up in any way.
What does that say about your ethics and morals, BykrBayb? I can use relativism against your positions because you use it against others. With your perspective, you are no different than a liberal.
For those interested in the original animal rights video that BykrBayb is using to castigate farmers and others, while ignoring her own animal abuses, it’s here:

Ann, I said that as a question, rhetorically, in that post. It ends in a question mark.
It is senseless to be militant about the rights of animals when humans are what deserve true compassion.
There are some humans who don't deserve any compassion. "If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men." -St. Francis of Assisi
How did St. Francis deal with living, breathing insects plastered across a windshield from a joy ride in the country?
No, I absolutely do not put animals before humans. I eat meat and have butchered animals for their meat. I support animal testing to benefit mankind. But I learned at an early age that it’s wrong to torture animals for entertainment. As an adult I learned that it can, and often does lead to torturing humans. The video we discussed does indeed contain footage of animal abuse. If you have the stomach for it, watch the segment beginning at 6:25 into that video. There’s no excuse for swinging an animal through the air and slamming it into a wall. That’s just plain wrong, and I won’t change my mind about that. I don’t understand how anyone could promote animal torture under circumstances, especially knowing that it puts people at a higher risk of being abused. I hate reading stories like this where a little girl gets murdered. I can’t imagine promoting a deviant behavior that’s known to lead to this. It’s just wrong any way you look at it.
Sorry ‘bout that, BykrBayb. I DID think you were writing about the little girl. I guess one could refer to “person” as “it”, especially if you don’t know it the person is a male or female. My bad. Sorry, again.
Not a problem. I’ve actually seen people call babies “it.” That’s so infuriating. But it’s not uncommon to use the wrong pronoun from time to time. I’ve been known to say “they” when referring to only one person whose gender is unknown. But I try not to say “it” unless it’s someone like Helen Thomas, Nancy Pelosi, Michael Moore, etc.
