Opinion: Called to Courage. Faint of Heart Need Not Apply

Photobucket CHESAPEAKE, Va. (Catholic Online) - Our society is made of bendy, cowardly stuff these days. The travesty at Fort Hood last week is only the latest proof. We're in desperate need of a vaccination, alright, but not for the swine flu. We need a massive shot in the arm of courage to help strengthen us against this rampant virus of godless political correctness.

After this terrible, heartbreaking week, I think if I hear one more person extolling the virtues of diversity I'm going to throw up. Diversity simply for the sake of appearances, for the sake of balanced-looking statistics leads to trouble. What happened at Fort Hood leaves no doubt. Battle-tested men with bars and stars on their chests were reluctant to speak the truth because the pressure of political-correctness was stronger than the threat of violence. 14 people are dead not because there wasn't tight enough security at the front gate, but because a terrorist wearing an Army uniform was protected by a climate of fear.

"The national news is sometimes too much to bear, and when I dare to look into the prospective future, the future my children are inheriting, it seems utterly dark, oppressive, and without a shred of virtue. It's a culture that has elevated all things sexual to the level of a new idol, determined to steal away innocence and modesty and purity under the warped dictates of a counterfeit notion of personal freedom and equal rights. It's a culture that silences the truth for fear of “offending” anyone. People of faith who dare to fight against this dictatorship of relativism are hissingly marked with the scarlet letter “I” for intolerance" --from the article.

“We are reminded that even supposed political victories are temporary, and that the solution to these problems is not political, even if we have to keep up the political fight and our activist efforts. We are called to prayer, fasting and conversion… only God can put a stop to the horror of abortion now” --Fr. Euteneuer.

Another thing we have to do as Catholics (or as other Christians, if applicable to anybody reading this) is simply to say that Islam is WRONG. It is a false religion, there is no truth to it, and it is evil and brings evil.

This used to be an accepted truth. But now the Church (and the Christian world in general) is afraid to uphold its claim to truth and has been intimidated into silence and into accepting Islam as a validly competing system. It’s not. Islam is wrong, wrong, wrong - at its very core.

There is no way to fix it, and the only thing that Christians must do is seek to convert its members and eliminate its evil ideology from the world.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

What we have is fake forced diversity...obviously a prescription for disaster.

Islam wasn’t a big deal in the West because its home countries were weak. Petropolitics changed that.

Petropolitics and all those neat Western weapons inventions. That’s one modern technology Muslims certainly took to...

Wow. I never thought anybody of the Church even thought like this anymore. Refreshing. And Uplifting.
