A body discovered floating in the Chicago River near Merchandise Mart this morning is believed to be that of Chicago Public Schools Board President Michael Scott, police said.
Police have not positively identified the man, but Scotts Cadillac was found nearby and Scotts family had reported him missing earlier in the day....

Then they’re pretty damn lucky. I know this’ll sound weird, but what does a decomposing body smell like? I’ve read that it smells like REALLY sour milk.
The 60-year-old Scott, Mayor Daleys go-to-guy for years, had a gunshot wound to his left temple. An autopsy this afternoon could determine whether he shot himself.

There, fixed it.
Thanks for the ping!
I don't know. I have only been to a few autopsies, and the bodies were not rotting. They had no particularly unusual smell.
I don’t know.
Chris Kelly—thanks for that reminder. That was another really weird case.....
Just caught a report on our local Chicago radio news that Scott was talking with another board member recently and she says when asked about a problem, he replied something like it didn’t matter because he wasn’t going to be around much longer. Sorry I didn’t catch the whole thing as far as who he said this too. But it certainly sounds strange.....
Link?
mmm mmm mmm Any connections to Revko, Auchi, Alderman Burke, etc etc etc
Which banks did he use?
Did he work with Blank-O's wife?
Did she make this comment only after his death?
In which case, it is mighty suspect. Could have invented/been coached to say it.
If she said it before he died, then it would/could deinitely indicate suicide.
Am I missing something here? In how many suicides is the body found floating in a river? And it seems much too short a period of time after the body was found for a definitive announcement.
Does the Vince Foster case come to mind?
Perhaps they hired the same goons.
Oh right!!! I had forgotten that incident - thanks for reminding me. Here it is again. LOL!!!

Good observation. Did you catch this bit:
“Friends say Scott was extremely distraught recently about the death of his first wife, Millicent, the mother of his children.”
Now how many guys do you know that have offed themselves over an ex-wife’s death, when they are themselves, happily remarried?
Very strange. Also the article describes Daley as ‘ashen faced’. Wonder if he is afraid that he is next on the ‘suicide list’? Wonder if it will be ‘aspirin in the parking lot’ or ‘gun by the river’...LOL?
If you click the link to the original article in post #1, you will see that an autopsy has supposedly been already done and yes, it has been called a suicide.
You can already see parallels to the Vince Foster case.
It's starting to look like the Clinton era again!
It appears he is right handed! Watch on left wrist in photo.
My bad!
It already is, more than you may know.
