Carrie Prejean has canceled public appearances designed to promote her new book after two major developments in the conservative starlets public image.
First, it was reported that a controversial video tape of Prejean had surfaced during settlement negotiations with her former Miss America pageant bosses. Prejean was 17 when she made the tape, which she said was meant for her boyfriends eyes only.
TMZ, the media outlet that had obtained the tape, said they did not publish it on their website because it was so racy. Because of it, they claimed, Prejean received nothing from her back-and-forth lawsuits with Miss America and was riddled with paying her own lawyers bills.
More recently, Prejean threatened to walk off the set of Larry Kings nightly news show when King asked her repeated questions about her confidential settlement with Miss America Pageant officials, and then patched in a call to her from a listener. Prejean called the questioning inappropriate, took her mike off, and after about a minute of on-air silence, King broke for a commercial.
Critics immediately used the developments as reasons why Prejean was unqualified to speak about her opinions on gay marriage.

Since then, Prejean cancelled her keynote speech at the New Jersey Family Policy Councils Defenders of the Family fundraiser, an appearance at an invitation-only event at the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and numerous other radio segments.

No, I’m not her PR agent, I’m just a guy who somewhat feels sorry for what she went through at the hands of the gaystapo. I don’t think she’s a saint or a role model, I just feel that she didn’t deserve being raked over the coals simply for having stated her opinion.
lol
I sure am glad that this line of logic does note apply to men.
.otherwise there may be some 2.5 billion male porn stars out there.
All she did was state her opinion on marriage. She didn’t attack or criticize anyone or anything. Besides, it wasn’t her idea, it was that maggot Perez Hilton who asked that question. It seems as if you feel that one must be basically perfect in order to speak one’s mind. We are all sinners. We’re all imperfect, we sin, we make mistakes.

Hmmm, seems to me the message rings true, regardless of the deliverer's personal history.
Hence they tear into her life, as they cannot argue or tear into the message.
Still, there are those who swallow the hook, the line, and yes, the sinker.
