Enemies lists are foolish affectations of the politically insecure. We don't need them to remember who said what. If, however, you must have one, please place my name there. I like Palin a good deal. I love free speech and the Constitution of my country far more.
I love Palin and she is the person who I would support the most at this point...however you can’t just tell people to shut up if something isn’t right...
I love GWB but there were times where more people should have stood up against some of the decisions he made when it came to spending and immigration and our congressmen didn’t do it.
At the same time those idiots in congress who were republicans voted against his social security bill and that angered the hell out of me
Knock yourself out. My name is at the bottom of this post. Feel free to add it.
You seem to think that Sarah Palin is far too weak to take the same sorts of criticism that every other politician takes.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement on your part, is it? Too weak to withstand withering criticism, but strong enough to the the leader of the Free World?
See, it doesn't work that way. She's either strong enough to take everything thrown at her, or she isn't. You seem to think she isn't, since you demand she not be criticized.
I think she is. And while I will support her as the nominee, I will not keep quiet if I find myself in disagreement with her.
I will not be part of any group that acts as though any politician anywhere is above criticism. They aren't our betters. They aren't our rulers. They aren't royalty. So please. Add me to your list. I refuse to kowtow to anyone for any reason. Ever.
I'd be very carful about keeping a list if I were you.
He's making a list
He's checking it twice
Gonna find out who's naughty or nice...
Ho ho ho!!
I’ll make a wager to any who will take it. $1 says Sarah Palin never holds an elected position on the national level.
>> is doing nothing to help Republicans or Conservatism in general.
Republicans OR Conservatism. Interesting distinction.
Too many purists hated our Republican candidates more than they hated any democrat. Even though most of the GOP candidates were flawed, it is my opinion that because none of them were a communist, any of them would have been better than Obama.
Come 2008 election time, many sat on their butts or voted for the communist, allowing Obama to win the election. Exit polls indicate that 20% of conservatives voted for Obama.
Let them trash Sarah, and let them laugh at her. They often align themselves with the media as lack of individual thinking processes is a feature of their ranks. But you would do well to keep a list, because we are going to need it in order to refute their hypocrisy after the next election.
So, is it surprising that the same people would undermine our conservatives leaders now? Of course not. That's the nature of the beast. All we can do is ignore them or refute their arguments with facts, which can be a futile exercise since their minds are already made up.
Rush commented yesterday on his radio show that Sarah's book is replete with policy positions and advocacy. Actually this is what Rush said:
"You've got enough in here that people who get hold of this, like the AP or any of the State-Controlled Media, they're gonna focus on the soap opera aspects of your book, and they're going to ignore what is truly one of the most substantive policy books I've read."
"This woman, Governor Palin, clearly is jazzed by policy, particularly environmental policy and energy policy, as well as taxes and so forth." link.
So don't worry, keep supporting Palin and any strong conservative candidate that comes, along despite the media bashing. The media hates conservatives, and they wouldn't continuously attack Palin the way they do if they thought she was irrelevant.
Don't expect any better from the anti-Palins, either.
You’re an odd little totalitarian.
So... we’re now going to have a litmus test, or censorship, or whatever you’d care to call it?
Sara’s a big girl, she can handle criticism.
Free Republic is a forum for debate and differences of opinion are part of that debate. If you do not like what someone says, either ignore them or take them on with facts to back up your side of the argument.
Want controlled speech? Go to DU.
Your funny.
Who the EF are you to define what conservatism is and who I should see as potential presidential timber?
Just a few word changes and this is something that could be uttered by Obama. Goofy.
How very Orwellian.
