“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
Hamlet Act 3, scene 2, 222230
Say, Genius, check my join date to Free Republic. You keep making my point for me.
I'd be very carful about keeping a list if I were you.
I will just keep a list of mainstream media talking points then. and then dust them off when I see the same accusation of Palin again, and again, and again.
I would like to think if Palin loged onto Free Republic, she would be among friends, and she would feel welcomed. I know you would too.
Your tone is sarcastic, which implies you don’t really want to know.
But certain forms of sarcasm point to a hint of truth. And you did take the time to reply to my post.
He's making a list
He's checking it twice
Gonna find out who's naughty or nice...
Ho ho ho!!
In the over two months I've made a habit of looking, there has never once been a Palin article-free page. And yet these same people are generally the ones who go ballistic whenever they see the lone positive article on Romney or Huckabee once in a blue moon.
Now that is the GoldStandard of truth. The silly spam is sick, day in and day out same cult members posts.
Really? How many times can people be purged for being ideologically impure before the site becomes little more than a cult of personality? And, even if someone was to be a Palin supporter I don’t see how they could stand to stick around when people are being blown out for, gasp, having a different opinion.
Go worship her all you want. I’ll vote for whomever I choose. Might even be her if she’s the best choice available to me at the time.
I’ll make a wager to any who will take it. $1 says Sarah Palin never holds an elected position on the national level.
>> is doing nothing to help Republicans or Conservatism in general.
Republicans OR Conservatism. Interesting distinction.
Too many purists hated our Republican candidates more than they hated any democrat. Even though most of the GOP candidates were flawed, it is my opinion that because none of them were a communist, any of them would have been better than Obama.
Come 2008 election time, many sat on their butts or voted for the communist, allowing Obama to win the election. Exit polls indicate that 20% of conservatives voted for Obama.
Let them trash Sarah, and let them laugh at her. They often align themselves with the media as lack of individual thinking processes is a feature of their ranks. But you would do well to keep a list, because we are going to need it in order to refute their hypocrisy after the next election.
So, is it surprising that the same people would undermine our conservatives leaders now? Of course not. That's the nature of the beast. All we can do is ignore them or refute their arguments with facts, which can be a futile exercise since their minds are already made up.
Rush commented yesterday on his radio show that Sarah's book is replete with policy positions and advocacy. Actually this is what Rush said:
"You've got enough in here that people who get hold of this, like the AP or any of the State-Controlled Media, they're gonna focus on the soap opera aspects of your book, and they're going to ignore what is truly one of the most substantive policy books I've read."
"This woman, Governor Palin, clearly is jazzed by policy, particularly environmental policy and energy policy, as well as taxes and so forth." link.
So don't worry, keep supporting Palin and any strong conservative candidate that comes, along despite the media bashing. The media hates conservatives, and they wouldn't continuously attack Palin the way they do if they thought she was irrelevant.
Don't expect any better from the anti-Palins, either.
You’re an odd little totalitarian.
Let me repeat(one more time)the point you either can’t, or won’t, see.
Leftists use forums such as Free Republic to try to discourage or demoralize Conservatives and Libertarians. They do this not with honest direct arguments but with subterfuge and deceit.
You either understand this or you don’t. If you don’t you’re not very bright. If you do understand why the refusal to acknowledge it? Could it be you are an Alisky acolyte?
Yes, you are most certainly against free speech. That's why you titled your post Anti Palin comments are counter-productive and should not be tolerated among us instead of Please tell me what you don't like about Palin so that we can have a dialogue. It's also why you are making veiled threats about keeping a list (which I hope you've added me to as I've asked).
Please don't backpedal. It's unbecoming. You said it. Own it.
But why would someone in their right mind go on a conservative website and trash the most popular conservative figure in the country unless they are just trying to cause problems ?
Ah. I get it. Popular equals correct in your book Obama got more votes than McCain/Palin. Does that make him right?
nice!
I went back and read your other posts on FR today. Damn, over forty posts in one day, and not one of them said anything of substance. You must not have much of a life to spend all day making half-witted, snide comments on a political board.
So... we’re now going to have a litmus test, or censorship, or whatever you’d care to call it?
Sara’s a big girl, she can handle criticism.
Free Republic is a forum for debate and differences of opinion are part of that debate. If you do not like what someone says, either ignore them or take them on with facts to back up your side of the argument.
