Another Palin Hit Job: Newsweek Cover Claims Former Alaska Governor 'Bad News' for Everybody
Newsbusters ^ | November 13, 2009 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 11/14/2009 9:30:49 AM PST by Rufus2007

Sarah Palin's new book "Going Rogue" is set for release on Nov. 17 and with that will likely come a media blitz of epic proportions. However, based on the cover of the Nov. 23 issue of Newsweek, someone felt a response was warranted.

The wizards of smart at Newsweek took an image from a shoot of Palin that originally appeared in Runner's World magazine for the cover and splashed the headlines, "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Sarah?" and "She's Bad News for the GOP - and For Everybody Else, Too."

...more (with bare-legged Palin cover)...

How do you “solve” a “problem” like Sarah Palin?

By electing her President of the United States in November of 2012

Very Simple

It's part of the new marketing strategy.

Newsweek is actually trying to get its circulation down.

The theory is that distribution costs will decrease, and they can charge more for ads that appeal to a more select readership.

It doesn't look like they'll have any problem driving subscribers away.

But good luck on the "more select readership" thing.

Is the photo of chairman MAO-bama ripping the Constitution photoshopped? Frankly, I would not be surprised if it was real.

If a newsmagazine lies on the rack and no one picks it up to read it, does it make a point?

Newsweek's paid newsstand circulation averages just under 67,000 copies a week. ... ... ... Newsweek lost $20.3 million in the first quarter of this year on revenue of $46.1 million. Those are ugly numbers. But given the circulation statistics, they're hardly surprising. It's a little hard to see why—especially in an age of real-time online news—The Washington Post Co. is keeping Newsweek alive. Readers (and advertisers) just don't seem to care.

I’ve had to bite my tongue for the past year or so when reading posts trying to compare Palin to Reagan, but your proclamation that she is both smarter than and more charismatic than Reagan really takes the cake. Any chance she had to win on a national political stage went out the window the day she abandoned her post as governor. How anyone can take her seriously after she cut and ran is beyond me. The Dems are laughing at the way some now idolize her and salivating at the chance to go up against her in a general election. She is a false hope for the Republican party.

Ya gotta love leftists. Always telling everyone else what’s good for them.

It is fun to watch their juvenile machinations over Sarah Palin. She has to do little or nothing to get coverage. The State Propaganda Organs keep her name out there and she doesn’t have to spend a dime. It’s really kind of neat because Onada and his gang of angry commie thugs are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. Either way, Sarah can take advantage of them.

There was an AP hit piece on her upcoming book in my local paper today. They tried to do a “fact check” routine on her. What the article “exposed” sounded more like children engaging in a playground spat of one-upmanship. If that’s their best shot it was darn near invisible.

They’re scared...

... as well they should be. Even if she is not on the 2012 ticket, I expect her to continue to be a strong influence through at least then and we'll see what affect she'll have next November when the Democrat Party's chickens come home to roost (to paraphrase a notable racist).

This photo was appropriate for Runner’s World, where it first appeared.

It is hardly fitting to run on the cover of Newsweek to headline a serious political article, unless the editors’ intent is to reduce Sarah Palin to the political equivalent of a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

Spoken like a true RINO. If what you say is true then how did she manage to derail Onadacare from her blog with two words: “Death Panal”. Oh, and why was her book sold out months before it was schedule for release?

You embarrass yourself with the RINO/demrat talking point that she “cut and run” from the Alask governorship. She moved on so she would have the freedom to pursue her run for the presidency unfettered by her governor responsibilities.

Oh, and by the way, have you noticed that Alaskans (except Pubbie RINOs and demrats) are cheering her on?

But hey, lets not let those pesky realities get in the way of what you want to believe.

let’s NOT attack one another.......I like what Sarah is doing with her FB page, she is creative and resourceful.........but all that creativity and resourcefulness may not be enough to overcome her resignation. it’s a fact we cannot overlook entirely. we all place varying degrees of importance on it. it does not make one a RINO to do so.
