Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who led an effort last week to prevent the Obama Administration from doing just what it did today in directing prosecution of the alleged Sept. 11 plotters into federal court, says he's keeping mum about that decision for now at the request of the White House.
"I have been asked by the White House to withhold comment about todays Guantanamo decision until I can meet face-to-face with the President after he returns from Asia," Graham said in a statement released by his office. "As our Commander in Chief, I will honor his request. I look forward to discussing this issue further.
Graham's silence on the issue today contrasts with the stance taken by many of his Republican colleagues, who wasted no time in blasting the administration. He also passed up the opportunity to dust off some of the pointed warnings he offered on the subject just eight days ago, when his amendment to ban civilian trials of the 9/11 plotters was voted down by the Senate on a 54-45 vote.

Another POS.
I would admire Graham for respecting the “water’s edge” principle—IF this was about military of foreign policy. It is NOT. Obama has chosen to BYPASS the military and conduct these show trials in CIVILIAN courts. Therefore the “water’s edge’ priciple is null and void, and Graham is merely showing that Obama keeps Lindsey’s testicles int e same briefcase as the nuclear football. Pathetic! I thought they bred MEN in Carolina, not pantywaist puppets.
Graham even has the sissy look in his eyes!
OK...THEY’VE GOT SOMETHING ON HIM.
Why would the WH specifically call a REPUB Senator and tell him to kleep his mouth shut.
Something is up and the SC voters better find out what. Because you know the DUMS are going to run someone against him...and will use anything they have to get the seat.
The pink poodle speaks!
I wonder if the WH has picures?
That would be a new low. Well, maybe not.
Don’t know. But he sure is running scared.
It would be nice if the SOB could be framed for a crime so we could get rid of him early. Maybe rape or possession of drugs...
The list, ping
