Who wants to make it go away more? Congress? Or the Army? I think it’s a toss-up. Both are highly culpable. As are the American people who have blithely succumbed to PC.
Obama is right in this case. Nothing could hose prosecution more than a Congressional side show with these guys grand-standing. The JAG Corps at Fort Hood are taking this very seriously and are working with all the resources at their disposal to do things properly. They need time to do their jobs without political show-boating getting in the way. There will be plenty of opportunity for congressional investigations AFTER Hasan’s trial.
