Don't Fool Yourself: America Is Now A Communist Nation

Politics / US Politics

By: DailyWealth

At last year's Alliance Conference, I urged folks to buy stocks – vehemently... It was the most bullish I've been in my entire life. But now I feel the opposite way.
When the facts change, I change my mind. I never thought we'd see the government running $2 trillion deficits, taking over health care, owning all the banks...

The stock market seems to believe the government can solve all of our problems with paper money and bureaucratic mandates. My bet is, it doesn't work... at least, not for long.
And given the choice between earning less than 1% in the bank and buying gold at $1,100 per ounce, I'm buying gold.

Watching the government rack up debts that will be impossible to repay while narrowing the tax base (at least 50% of Americans pay zero federal income tax) at the same time is very scary.
Not only has the government gone mad with spending and corruption, but it also expects about 10% of the population to pay for essentially all the costs.
The math simply doesn't add up: 10% of the population can't (and won't) pay for all of the costs of a socialist federal government.
This has nothing to do with traditional party politics. Both parties have grown the size and responsibilities of government. Both parties have added to the national debt.
And both parties support the narrowing of the tax base – because that's what makes good political sense in an unlimited democracy... Promise the voters they can live at the expense of their neighbors and future generations.

“Don’t Fool Yourself: America Is Now A Communist Nation’

I think he is referring to Obama and the gang of thugs (czars).
I think there is little doubt that they are Marxist, with the intent to turn the USA into a Communist like state.

Let us prey that Americans will be able to turn them back,
starting in 2010.

While I never lived under Communism, I did spend eight
post Communist years in central Europe, and saw the scars.

“They will just confiscate the gold too.”

I’ve got plenty of lead and willing to share.

We are so not communist (yet) and I wish people would stop debasing terms like “Marxism/Marxist” and “communism/communist.” Those words have specific meanings. They are not catch-alls to describe left-wing politics. “Socialism” is just fine (even if the Dems won’t admit Pelosi, Obama, and their kind are basically socialists who only pay lip service to markets).

Venezuela was never a fully-developed, free market economy. Venezuela was hardly Hong Kong or Singapore ten years ago, it was never ranked as a very free country economically. Less free countries are easier for socialists to conquer than ones that are free and enjoying the benefits of the free market.

It's interesting that leftists like Obama are for czarism.

I’ve have family as well as missionaries who have lived in/visited Communist countries. We’re far from it, but slowly inching towards it.

Frederic Bastiat aptly noted that Protectionism, Socialism, and Communism are all part of the same tree at different stages of growth.

I do not agree that we’re far from it at all or that we’re slowly inching toward it. We’re moving at a very fast clip.

Have you visited a Communist country?

This is not to suggest our landscape would take decades before looking anything like a communist country, but there are a number obstacles they must deal with in order to firmly establish communist rule.

No, but that doesn’t mean i don’t know what Communism is or that i can’t see it coming our way. Do not underestimate me. And don’t try to convince me to think like you.

Terrible things can happen in a country very quickly.

Just because our buildings aren’t crumbling and people still have cars doesn’t mean we aren’t on the fasttrack to Communism.

“And don’t try to convince me to think like you”?! “Do not underestimate me”?!!

Who said anything about “underestimating? You obviously take yourself very seriously. You don’t need me for that.

You and I are in agreement that we’re on the road to communism if there isn’t a dramatic change in our sociopolitical compass.

Communism doesn’t just involve “crumbling” buildings and cars. It doesn’t just involve material things, or the lack thereof. At it’s core is an ideology. If you lived in a communist country, or visited one, you would know better.

Where you and I somewhat disagree is on the time period in which our country is moving towards communism.

Is it normal practice for you to place punctuation that wasn’t there into other peoples sentences?

I do take myself seriously, but i don’t take you seriously. You are a dishonest person and i don’t have to go see you in person to know that.

Don’t fall now, getting off your high horse.

No compliment. Just an observation.

“...dozing off.”

You’d put a stadium of rugby fans into a coma.
