The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.
And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.
She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

Unfortunately for me, you were #32 on the posting list........I puked.
All my future campaign contributions will either go locally or directly to a Sarah Palin campaign.........
How low can McCain get.
maybe, just maybe, instead of doing what a kos kid would do and edit the line you should have put the entire line in.
“And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about one-tenth of the $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod. “
So it was one tenth of $500,000 or $50,000. No reason to mislead people. Even charging her the first dollar was wrong and deserves righteous indignation.
When people go now and tell someone McCain charged her a half million dollars for vetting they’ll look prety dumb.
McCain is not going to come up in the presidential nomination process again — he is too old.
That makes it look even more chicken-$#1t if anything. He didn’t have 50 grand somewhere from his well moneyed backers? Maybe he was hoping that Palin would turn him down and was surprised when she didn’t?
If it’s coming out as an e-book as well (e.g. Amazon Kindle), there will be another way of searching it.
Nope. AP ran the story EXACTLY AS PUT IN QUOTATIONS. They just re-ran a corrected version, inserting 1/10th into the paragraph. You can look at Ace and C4P to notate the original version is exactly as I quoted it.
like i said, even the first dollar is bull. they wanted her, hell they needed her.
My opinion is that at the very end the communist finally broke McCain, a person can only stand so much. The cruel treatment he received has made him susceptible to sucking up to everyone politically(especially the media)in order to get attention and kind treatment. Not excusing him, in fact I feel he should never have gone into politics with his background of torture and possible mental instability. McCain/Feingold should have told anyone everything they need to know about McCain's real state of mind.
Har!
i believe ya. what a stupid mistake on their part.
It gets worse. C4P is reporting that on MSNBC, an anonymous McCain staffer is saying that Palin is LYING about the bill.
Jeez, here we go again with these anonymous staffers. Man up and say your name!
I’m not quite sure that whining about the media treatment is a good way to go for Sarah. We all know that Gibson and Couric were hostile. But whining about it does no good. Sarah did not perform well on either interview, that’s for sure. She admits it in the Oprah interview. Kicking the crap out of Couric and Gibson doesn’t erase the fact that she didn’t have her “A” game during those interviews. She should get over it and move on.
I have already called the NRSC and one of McCain’s Arizona’s office and let messages saying just that.
No, really, the problem wasn't Couric; it was the McPain campaign for failing to properly control the ground rules of the interview. - Next time She'll be in control, not her worst enemies.
Liberals don’t know where the story begins without an index to look up “beginning.”
Just when I think it’s not possible to dislike McCain anymore....what a jerk!
“No Index” is a Palin dig at the Establishment Elites. Apparently, they look in the index to see how many pages their name is on before they buy the book! ;-) You ‘betcha.
Well, somebody had to make sure he was marxist enough!
