The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.
And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.
She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

There appears to also be some Worm in her lineage...
W-T-F????????????
Proper indexes for books take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to produce. There wasn’t enough time to meet the November 16 release date.
Wonder if she knew what an arsehole he was before she accepted his offer? I bet it didn’t take her long to figure it out. I voted for HER not HIM!
In 1988, GHW Bush gave the same deal to Dan Quayle. Back in those days, the costs of vetting were chump change — less than $5,000. As it turned out, they won and Bush paid the bills.
In 2000, it is my understanding (can’t confirm) that GW Bush gave the same deal to Dick Cheney. Again, they won. It seems that this is a pretty standard deal in presidential politics, at least on the GOP side.
This time, the costs were $50,000 because Sarah Palin had all of these ethics investigations going on (Troopergate, etc.) and while we now know they were completely frivolous, they had to be checked out. In modern presidential politics $50,000 is still chump change. If you’d like you can donate to the Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund.
If it takes this prick John McCain and his ilk out, I'll pay the whole bill!
You can defend this rino all you want, but I'm not going support anybody who would allow his own people to treat his own VP candidate like this egomaniac, John McCain did.
This isn’t a case of “allowing” anything. They did a lot of the damage behind his back. Look at the statements made by John McCain himself, and compare them to statements made by his campaign staff.
Personally, I think Sarah’s going to do just fine with 2-1/2 million copies of her book already in print. Like I said, at that level of politics $50,000 is chump change.
You didn’t include Huckabee in that picture. He colluded with McCain, doesn’t that qualify him?
Yes, I heard his statements before, and I've paid attention before to his liberal, conservative hater crap. Like I said, you can defend this disloyal asswipe all you want, everybody knows he's a backstabbing creep, and the republican party needs to rid itself of this slug, rino's like him, and their supporters!
Conservatives are either going to clean up this party by scraping the rino's or they are going to fail miserably trying! If they do fail it won't matter much after that, America will be over!
Either way, nobody wants John McCain around except rino supporters, now you're either going to join with conservatives in this fight to defeat rino's like John McCain, or you need to stay out of the way!
Your support of this trash is not going unnoticed.
I don't mean John McCain is trash, I mean rino tendencies are.
So you want to conduct future elections by purging people like me from the party? You want to get rid of everybody who supported John McCain in 2008, and you think you’ll win back control of Congress and the White House by only accepting support from people who never even voted for John McCain??
Dream on, flame boy.
I do not want to purge you. I want you to have an option. Either stop supporting rino's and come support conservatives, or get out of way! This country can not afford your namby-pamby B.S.
I may be dreaming, but I'm not the one kissing rino butt!
