As we post and read ballots are being created and stuffed in official ballot bags and stowed in the trunk of some Demo’s car so they can be “discovered” at the last minute to save the seat.
3000 votes is still a LOT to make up in a Rep race...
2010 is a better chance.
The whole dynamics of the race changed in the last two weeks. Absentee ballots cast before that time most likely would not have gone to Hoffman. So the only chance for Doug would be if the majority of absentee ballots were cast in the last two weeks.
It’s about time to go Al Franken. Keep this count going until Hoffman wins.

Winning margin in NY House 23 race tightens
ALBANY, N.Y. The special election last week for the 23rd Congressional District seat in New York may not be over after all.

The county Boards of Election are still recanvassing votes and it could be the end of November before a final count is certified. If the count overturns the election, Owens could be removed from office. ...”

There is no way a third party nominee will get the majority of absentee votes.
So Hoffman was right to concede.
The New Math in old style Chicago politics.
I don’t understand how Hoffman can win after he conceded.
Even if he did win the vote... he bowed out of the race.
he shouldn’t have conceded.
This would be thrice sweet for this year’s election night if this is true!
A change in the outcome is still unlikely.
However, I think that one county royally screwed up....and frankly I am concerned that it was so close there compared to the polls. That might mean the polls were putting him too far ahead compared to reality....or yet all the votes in that one county need to be counted again.
