To regain its strength, an out-of-power party like the Republicans needs ideas to fuel its recovery and leaders to promote and deliver them. In this war of ideas, those committed to presenting a sensible, philosophically grounded conservative case to Americans play a special role. Because conservatives are distrustful of concentrated power, it is awkward to select just seven Washington power players, but here are my picks...

Why should we listen to Rove? He brought us a disastrous eight years.
Hannity preaches to the choir! BOR, as much as I dislike him, appeals to moderates because he appears to take both sides. He usually, however, ends up on the conservative side of the spectrum.
Put on the top of the list all those that support and attend Tea Parties.
Finding a philosophical conservative who will make an electable candidate for the Presidency or Congress is the task before citizens. A good start might be the candidate for Congress in 2010 from South Florida - Lt. Col. Allen West. Strong on constitutional philosophy and defense of America.
I missed that one. Making my point even better.. Can anyone name a VP candidate ever to draw a bigger convention audience than that the Presidential candidate of either party? Palin has power and influence beyond belief, and for Rove to ignore her is unbelievable.
And he falls for the MSM template traps, who got him to criticize Rush. If he did it intentionally, he’s no conservative. If he did it unintentionally, he’s too dumb to be in the leadership.
Same here, or I change the station in disgust. It’s like McCain trying to tell us where the party should head. Just go away...
replace Feulner with Glenn Beck.
Paul Ryan is who? Replace him with Tim Pawlenty.
RE: “Maybe he didnt include Sarah but he sure as heck didnt include Mitt or Huck, either.”
and...
“Newt is also absent.”

That’s right — though I an not enchanted with Rove’s list, I’d take just about anyone on it over the commies taking over our lives the past year....
Re: “1. Rush Limbaugh
2. Glenn Beck
3. Sarah Palin
4. Mark Steyn
5. Andrew Breitbart
6. Charles Krauthammer
(A better list)”

You left off Mark Levin!!!
RE: “Hannity is our best shot at getting women open to listening and then eventually their belief system is strong enough where they can listen to Mark Levin and not get turned off. My wife is gradually moving to the right largely because she is ok with Hannitys tone and listened to him. She would never listen to Levin or Savage, those are for advanced conservatives. I think Limbaugh is the best overall but his satire and bombast (which I love) takes some getting used to. Hannity is the most likeable and most likely conduit to bring someone over to our side and we have to convert the minds and hearts out there. We need to expand our numbers by shifting peoples thinking to the right and Hannity is the best there is for a first exposure before folks graduate to the more cerebral types. Hannity is telegenic and nice which is very important to women.”

Levin is for advanced conservatives? Wow. I always considered myself a Republican and that’s it. Interesting to know I am an advanced conservative. Respectfully, I think you may be off track a bit re Levin and how women feel about listening to him. I’m a middle aged woman and have no problem with Levin at all.
Mark Levin has many many female listeners/supporters out here and he does not put us off in the slightest. Many of us do not need to stick with Hannity because he is ‘nice’ and like the yelling of Levin. In fact, if I’m driving I turn up the volume, turn down the windows so anyone around me can hear him too, whether they like it or not ;)
Of course, some people think I’m really ‘brave’ to have a “Don’t Tread on Me” sticker on the car.......so I may not be representative of the typical woman (typical WHITE woman!)
Well then you are certainly my kind of woman. If you like Levin that is all I need to know about you to state that you are clearly one of us. I would still state that a lot of women I know react strongly to voice tones and words and how callers are treated and in that area Levin can be harsh. I have noticed this with many women and when I ask them about Hannity their face lights up and after much observation I came to the conclusion that I stated.

I like Hannity as well — seems like a sweetheart, but I LOVE Mark Levin, Mark Steyn and Rush Limbaugh.
Of course, I’ve been accused of having an “overly aggressive personality” so maybe that’s the reason...

BOR could disappear from network TV and nobody would notice.
I gather that the Second Amendment is not important to you.
Yawn... Doesn’t Karl have a mail order business to get back to?
BOR also had an advertisement indicating he was going to have Megan McCain on as a guest.
CLICK, no rating for BOR.
Megan McCain is instant RINO change channel alert.
