Please name your top ten conservative film makers (fiction not documentaries) and top ten conservatives novelists (fiction only). I'll give you mine afterwards.
I miss Michael Crichton.
Ayn Rand, next question.
Tom Clancy near the top.
James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles. :-)
sorry, theirs are documentaries..
Mel Gibson
Author: Frederick Forsyth
Filmmaker: David Lean
Clint Eastwood leans to the right from what I understand, and most of his recent movies are amazing.
Come on, Freepers - has nobody read Vince Flynn?
Mitch Rapp for President!
David Zucker (”Airplane”) and John Milius (”Red Dawn”), John McTiernan (”Die Hard”). All conservative and still working.
Whoever made “The Incredibles”.
Best conservative novelists?
Tom Kratman
H. Beam Piper
Robert A. Heinlein
David Weber
John Ringo
Travis Taylor
Those are the ones I can think of, right now.
Are there 10 of each? lol
As for authors, I do believe Dean Koontz has donated to Republicans and I catch a little bit of conservatism in his books. could be wishful thinking on my part...
And yes to Clancy and Flynn!!
I was at a party a few days ago talking to an international best selling author friend of mine (can’t name her, sorry), and she said the only book she had ever physically destroyed was Atlas Shrugged.
So I guess she’s off the list.
Robert Heinlein.
Unfortunately, many Freepers bash him for his anti-religous views.
Bella is a great movie. ‘not my favorite movie genre, but a beautiful story and strongly pro-life.
I forgot Lionel Chetwynd (”Hanoi Hilton” and “Ike: Countdown to D-Day” among others).
Don’t know if PJ O’Rourke has written any fiction, but if he has he’d certainly qualify too.
