They're both heroes, and it doesn't matter whose bullet went where.

I was told long ago that the difference between a hero and a coward is simply the direction they run. Sgt. Munley ran to the sound of the guns, and is, in my book, a hero. Whether or not she put rounds on target, she slowed down the killing and took fire herself.
