Our daughter and her hubby bought a used Air Stream Bambi and took it up to the Smith River area to try to catch the twin to that 50 pound King caught earlier in the week. They got about a mile out of Eureka last night when the alternator committed suicide and had to come back and install a rebuilt. Put them about a hour behind but it could have been worse...
Little brother had one years ago, think he spent more in repairs than he did on the original purchase.
They do seem to be lacking this year. JJ has been good and lucky, except for last week, but they should have been in there.
Will see how they do manana, could be a different story in the chase by this time tomorrow night. And then again, maybe not. LOL
A belated “thank-you” AZamericonnie for a great thread.
With three cups of Columbian consumed (liquid form, not rolled) I will attempt to post coherently and wish everyone an early great race day. Road trip planned for today & I will miss the thread and the race.
T.B., speaking of turkeys, no one talked about the most important part - stuffin’! And speaking of stuffing, who is going to “stuff” crashalotski into the wall today.
S.T., you’ve been delegated the job of making sure you-know-who doesn’t cheat, again, today. The guy is slicker than 50W oil.
Smile, enjoy, laugh & thank God that today you can do them all and pass it to someone else too.
Do you still “hide” a key to the house in that fake rock by the back door and don’t forget to turn the stove off and unplug all appliances in case of lightening. Can you Freep mail me your Yaaahoo password incase you get stranded over the hill for a week. Other then that, Have a Nice Day...
Yes, done, will do, and OK.
And, in the spirit of “the sun is always shining somewhere” (or it’s gotta be 5:00PM somewhere) fleas are almost non-existent in cold weather.
Don’t smoke me too badly in points today, OK?
Good morning race fans!
I’m trying a sample version of Columbian this morning and no, it’s not the powdered version either. Some kind of expresso that’s not bad, but it shore ain’t worth the price.
Oh, I take care of the stuffing in the turkey too, but any extra is not in my job description. :)
On any other issues, please refer to stuffing comments, it’s not in my scope of work.
Hope you enjoy your rambling. :)
See y'all after Church?
All strapped in, engine warming up, beer in fridge, ready to go.
I used my last JJ at TMS, only to have him leave the track and re-emerge camouflaged as a buzzard.
Kind of ironic the MWR article followed the one on the drug policy.
BEER IN THE FRIDGE? My SiL sent photos from Golden and 62” of fresh snow this morning so why aren’t you drinking Hot Brandy Flu Medicine Mixes...
It looked like 62” to me but it only snows once every 10 years here behind the Redwood Curtain. Check my last post on the Garden thread.
I hope this thread isn’t to political for the Racin Thread but it’s at least a FYI... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2387007/posts
