I think I have a couple around. The problem when hp takes something over is that they often don’t leave older drivers on their website. Even if not supported, for those of us that help folks refurb older computers, not having drivers stinks.

Check Clarkson university. They had lots of drivers when I was writing TCP/IP code to run under DOS in the mid-80's. In many cases, the drivers there are open source. Failing that, just put Linux on the hardware. Those drivers aren't likely to disappear.

Mp>My 1998 vintage Palm III still bears the 3Com logo. I’m not sure HP is going to want to keep supporting Palm and their own iPAQ line of PDAs. Something is going away.

Palm has been their own company for a long time now, I think since 2001.
