That said, the US Army had PLENTY of information to drum him out anyway: "We love death more than you love life"
Both culpable.
However, a connection to Al Qaeda should have been the TRUMP.
A clear case of malfeasance.
Obviously.
I'm getting the impression that Hasan's post-graduate study consisted mainly in the study of Islam, with the blessings of the Army.
The WaPo reported that his email correspondence with Alwaki and other Islamists was part of the research on his "thesis" -- if true, it's something the public has a major interest in reading.
In addition, his presentations, both as a psychiatric intern and in pursuit of his post-grad degree in Disaster and Preventive Psychiatry at Bethesda, seemed to have consisted solely in the proselytizing of Islam to fellow students.
He was also reprimanded for proselytizing Islam to his patients at Walter Reed.
If both the FBI and the Army were so unconcerned about his activities, we have to wonder how many more Hasans are out there, subsidized by the military and/or government in the study and spread of radical Islam within the ranks?
