Well, lets test this latest theory of FBI inaction, shall we? Had e-mail existed in World War II, would we have ignored messages between an Army major and Josef Goebbels if the officer in question was working on a counter-propaganda project? Would we have shrugged at correspondence between a naval officer studying Kamikaze attacks and a member of Tojos staff? Or would the FBI have hotfooted it over to the Pentagon to recall the officer in question ASAP?
The FBI apparently says that your mileage may vary:
"The FBI determined that the e-mails did not warrant an investigation, according to the law enforcement official. Investigators said Hasans e-mails were consistent with the topic of his academic research and involved some social chatter and religious discourse."
Gen. George Casey bemoaned the damage that would be done to diversity if the Hasan investigation got out of hand.
No one can be this stupid. This is intentional misdirection.
A research project LOL LOL this is a joke right. Good God no wonder other countries think we are a laughing stock. A research project, okie dokie..hey, how about everyone contact Al Qaeda then, I mean, its only research
THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S UPBRINGING
Yeah, but let one of us wander over to Stormfront and ask about molotov cocktails, and they’ll bury us under the jail.
This is misdirection and obfuscation imho. Who actually had the role of investigating Hansan? One report says it was the DCIS...another says the FBI. That’s two so far.
Bullshit.
How did I get so far? Invisible to the FBI? Ignored by the Army?
Given a red carpet by the DHS? Why, I just flashed my Winter Hill Gang Card,
or my Chicago Mob card, or my DNC-Berger-Free card and I was off and out scot-free.
Are you a serious terrorist? Dont leave your cave without them.
Research project? FBI has lost it!
These is the same FBI who didn’t bother to look at OU’s ‘lone suicide bomber’s’ computer for three weeks to find a suicide note according to the FBI. Our local PD made 18 trips to the bomb disposal area from the perp’s apartment/car for fear of blowing up a city block. When they detonated, my home shook including the windows which was 5 miles away.
If anyone swallowed that story by the FBI on the OU bomber then they will swallow this one. There was terrorism as well as he spent three months in Pakistan and had a Pakistani roommate.
Tired of being fed Bravo Sierra by the FBI — we can take the facts and not overreact more then we can take being lied to by the FBI.
The real issue is why the chain of command took no action about a soldier clearly unfit for duty. Just the PowerPoint he gave showed he clearly opposed the Army's mission in Iraq and Afghanistan and had some extreme religious views.
Whew!!!...Okey Dokey...
Come on chess player you know how the defense is going to go if there is ANY hint of the Army using this murderer as an agent.
He snapped from the pressure of the Army using this poor murdering miscreant to go against those of his sacred f-ing religion.
And I have a bridge I’ll sell you real cheap.
“A research project, okie dokie..hey, how about everyone contact Al Qaeda then, I mean, its only research”
Thats the get-out-of-jail-free card for anyone who contacts al-Qaeda, now. They can just claim they were doing research.
Yep, it's the same FBI. Idiots. To this day they refuse to dig any further into OU and that wacko or the connection between Berg and Atta & Co. To be honest, I'm surprised Hasan doesn't have a closer connection to OU though it's been reported he has connections with 9/11 through the iman. Have they bothered to check his cell phone records? Of course, every US citizen has terrorists' email addresses handy for "research purposes", right????
Oh right ... how stupid do they think I am! I don’t drink the friggin’ kookaid!
Research project?
Where have I heard that before?
Oh yeah, that’s what former SF Bay area lib radio guy Bernie Ward said about certain chat room activities, isn’t it?
The Rosenbergs, Robert Hannsen, and Aldrich Ames now look pretty foolish for not using that excuse.
Something was fishy. Right after a bad evaluation and the FBI looky-loo at emails he's shipped off to Ft. Hood and suddenly he's being deployed after being at Walter Reed for 12 years. That doesn't add up.
He was writing a book?
